Greg Oden out for the season

Just happen to be watching ESPN and it was announced that Greg Oden will miss his rookie NBA season because Knee Surgery....recovery time 6 to 12 months..tough break..hope he gets back soon

I wonder if Blazer fans are having flash backs to another first round pick 7 footer who was hampered by injuries his whole career, and also having flash backs to wishing they had picked Durant just like they wished they had picked Jordan.

I'd say they are bourbon town :icon_redface: Man, I hate this for him. He seems to be a good guy. That's tough news for sure. I looked forward to seeing him progress into what he could be. I hope he doesn't go down Bowie's same path.

I still think the Blazers made the right choice taking Bowie ahead of Jordan...Portland needed a center and I don't think anyone could have predicted Jordan's greatness at the time...Sam Bowie fan here.

I sure hate hearing this. I am going to a Blazers game or two and would have liked to have seen what he can do. Well at least tickets will be a little easier to get and I still get to see Kevin Durant.
