This spring like weather has me looking forward to the Keenleand spring meet in April.

Anybody else plan to go to any of the races, like the Bluegrass Stakes on the 15th ?

I'm going to try to make it to the spring meet. I love Keeneland. It has such a special feeling that I can't explain.

Missing a spring day at Keenland is like going a night.........well I won't go into that. Anyway, Keenland has kept its old charm. People are very polite, even the drunks. My advice to all: eat some burgoo while your there and bet on the long shots if you get a muddy or sloppy track. I always box trifectas, when I bet, because the payoff is large when you get lucky. The best bets that I have ever won are always when my pick gets scratched and I have to pick a horse for the heck of it.

Bluegrass Stakes Day always falls near my birthday (4/16), so I'll be there.

Just look for me in the paddock area...I'll be the drunk guy cursing and tearing up his losing tickets over and over again.

My wife and I always "plan" to get to Keeneland but forget when the time comes. I always forget the season is much shorter than Churchill's.

I put the spring dates in my Outlook Calendar this time.:thumbup

I've been to several tracks around the country and IMO Keeneland is the absolute best!
