Can you talk about politics occasionally without resorting to name-calling? Do you have a pet issue that you want to educate everyone on? Do you think that political communication is important in a democracy?
Most importantly... are you a liberal that will help me team up on the conservatives? :)
While the flavor is sometimes local, it's mostly national... meaning Arkansas fans are welcome.
It is somewhat protected, because it does get somewhat vitriolic. You have to go to User CP -> Group Memberships to join before you can see the forum.
Please, when you join, don't bring any vitriol - but sharp criticism or praise for policy and those we entrust with it.

Or if you are older and wiser, you can join the conservatives in correcting Johhny on nearly any issue that he puts forth, like socialized medicine and electing Hilary as Queen.

jb, are you feeling outnumbered? Didn't realize that.
Sorry, I'll try to be more gentle.

but the last time I tried to post there, I literally had several people telling me that I was going to be added to their ignore list simply because I was a conservative and (this was actually said by one person) I didn't know what I was talking about.
That pretty much did it for me. It's best if I stay off that forum.
I do, however, appreciate the group invitation.

No, just kinda bored really. Not that you are boring - just some new perspectives would be cool.

If not, you are a nimrod.
Most importantly... are you a liberal that will help me team up on the conservatives?
If not, you are a fascist nimrod.
It is somewhat protected, because it does get somewhat vitriolic.
Most are thick-skinned enough to not mind being called a nimrod.
Please, when you join, don't bring any vitriol - but sharp criticism or praise for policy and those we entrust with it.
Just don't call ME a nimrod..............
:icon_mrgreen::beer::widcat:
Nimrod is not a derogative noun actually. It is to some people quite a compliment.

Who said it was derrogative?
It IS name calling. The recipient can take it as he wishes.
Hence the reason I used the term nimrod.

John, I would love to join in again but I have enough stress in my life. :)
You and I share a lot of the same views and you are stonger than I to deal with that board day in and day out. It wore me out!
Maybe I will reconsider since the election talk is hot and heavy right now. ;)

I have fairly liberal views. I think I asked once about how to join the political board, but I didn't get an answer.
What do I have to do to become a political forum member?

I'm very liberal (progressive) BUT stopped going to the political forum back at WildcatFaithful because I don't like mixing religion and politics with my love of The Wildcats (and I didn't want to cause Mel any trouble although he told me never to worry about that)...I love pissing rightwingers and the religious right (wrong) off but there are enough of those types who aren't Wildcats fans for me to mess with. My dad was a conservative Republican and the only way we made it through the Reagan years was our love of the Wildcats...at happy hour a few weeks ago there were six Republicans and me...one of them said we have you out numbered and my reply was you need four more just to make it even ;)...then I asked them why they weren't fighting the war they support...no reply!
PM me any time but you won't find me on the political forum.

I'm surprised that the thread hasn't been deleted yet or moved to the general discussion board.

It's all Johnny's fault. Damn liberals don't think the rules apply to them.
