FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas' Ben Cleveland will likely redshirt this season because of a neck injury he suffered during preseason practice, coach Houston Nutt said Tuesday.
"The outcome will probably be to redshirt him because it looks like it would be three or four weeks before we got him back," Nutt after Tuesday's practice.
Cleveland, a sophomore tight end, was a third-team all-SEC preseason selection by Southeastern Conference coaches. He injured his neck at practice Aug. 9.
The Razorbacks (1-1, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) face No. 21 Kentucky (3-0, 0-0) on Saturday.
"I was really proud of the attitude and focus today after a very tough weekend," Nutt said after Tuesday's practice. "I thought our guys came out here and got on the Kentucky plan. We're facing a team that is very hot right now."
