Bad news for Kio Sanford

WLEX just reported that Kio Sanford is suffering from a rare form of cancer. It's rare because it doesn't usually affect adults or African Americans. Doctors are still trying to decide how to battle it, but chemo is likely. Sorry I don't have a link, and that's all I know.

Please keep Kio in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about Kio. He was a favorite of mine a few years back. He will be in my prayers.

my gosh, that's terrible..I still remember him vaulting over that defender for a TD in '97, maybe it was Indiana?

Is he even 30 yet? My prayers are for you, Kio. heal up soon.

I saw the segment on Kio also. He went to the doctor in July to have a growth removed from his side and they found out it was a rare cancer. He is a policeman here in Lexington and is married to Rex Chapman's sister. They have a six year old daughter.

Thoughts and prayers are with Kio and his family.
