Anyone who knows me knows that I love ALL our players. :) I started a thread on Keenan because of the high compliments he had recently received about him as a person. I then started a thread on Wesley Woodyard on the defensive side of the ball, for he, too, is such an outstanding young man and probably THE SENIOR most responsible for the turnaround -- because of his leadership AND his having played such a huge role in getting other top players to come here.

I had already said that the senior class is such a special one, one with so many outstanding young men. Someone correctly went farther and said that a thread about any of those fine young men would rightly have lots of accolades.

Well, what not starting a separate thread about each senior, I do want to SHOW THE LOVE to ALL of them, and I hope many of you will join me in doing so. These guys DESERVE that, win or lose.

I have been fortunate to meet most of these young men. From everything I have read and heard, besides when I met him at a Caravan stop, Jacob Tamme is simply an outstanding young man, and probably none could be finer. Andre Woodson had already won me over with his smiles at Cat Walks, but I was "blown away" by this soft-spoken gentleman at the women's clinic. Speaking of beautiful smiles and politeness, I must mention Stevie Johnson, whom I spoke with after the Music City Bowl (which makes me understand Coach Brooks' defending this player). I will never forget Rafael's warm smile at the women's clinic--he, too, is a special young man who chose to return for his senior year, along with Keenan and Andre. At last year's Fan Day I enjoyed meeting and talking with Jason Leger, Travis Day, and J.D. Craigman --all of whom were so warm and kind to us fans. I met Dominic Lewis then (while talking with defensive linemen) and then talked with him again at the women's clinic. Dominic is another impressive, soft-spoken gentleman, similar to Andre. I strongly suspect that the few seniors I have not met would likewise make similarly good impressions. :)

So I'm saying that this group of seniors is just UNREAL. These guys--and the rest of our players, of course--DESERVE OUR LOVE. May they win MANY more games. They have my love, win or lose, though, because of the PEOPLE they are. :)

HELP, moderators! I had intended for this post to be a new thread. I obviously messed up. Can someone possibly move it? Thanks in advance.

I have a feeling that more than a few tears will be shed come Senior Day. By the UK players and fans before the game--and by the UT players and fans after. ;)

I'm sending this thread back to the top because it was buried with all the posts about the exciting win Saturday. I'm hoping, too, that some more folks will respond with love and appreciation for these seniors AS YOUNG MEN, for it is such a special group, as Coach Brooks and the other coaches, Mitch Barnhart, and those who cover the program so often say.

Along with everyone else, I'm so excited about the success we have had thus far. Most of all, though, I'm so happy for these young men (the seniors AND the rest of the players), for they so DESERVE such success!

Also, though, I would be feeling the same love if they had lost Saturday. I guess I'm saying that I want these guys fully to realize how much we love and appreciate them, period, especially the special group of seniors who have played such a huge role in the recent successes. Also, IF and when losses occur, I--and I feel it's the same for so many fans--will be hurting FOR THEM.

Let's SHOW THEM SOME LOVE, folks! :) How about it?
