Titans punter Craig Hentrich suffered a strained back and missed Friday's practice.

As insurance, the Titans have signed punter Glenn Pakulak to the practice squad.

To free up a roster spot for Pakulak, the Titans were forced to waive tight end Jamie Petrowski from the practice squad.

Pakulak spent training camp with the Titans before being cut prior to making the 53 man roster. Earlier this week, Pakulak had workouts for Baltimore, Chicago, and Minnesota. The Titans have until Monday afternoon to activate Pakulak for Monday's game in New Orleans.

Glenn could flat out boot the ball, in college It just goes to show you just how hard it is to make it in the NFL as a kicker. The great ones hang around forever, not leaving much room for the young guns to get their foot in the door.

Yeah, Hentrich's been their punter since the Houston days. Morten Andersen is about 75 years old, and he's still kicking.

GREAT to hear, and good luck to him! Also, Mr. Poodoo and I once had a nice conversation with Mr. Pakulak. What a warm, gentlemanly young man he was! :)
