During ESPN's (#) opening segment to the first college football game of the season, they put together a nice set of clips from last season and talked about top teams and possible CHAMPIONS. They showed clips of USC, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Georgia, and you guessed it...your's truly, LOUISVILLE. Except they showed us not once...not twice...but THREE TIMES! Don't act like you didn't see it. But WAIT ESPN, STOP THE PRESSES! UK fans say we are nothing...that we are overrated...that we are not in the same class as the elite programs!!! Hmmmmmmm, mysterious indeed. How many people do you think were watching the very first college football game of the year??? Pretty much EVERYBODY??? MAN, it's great to be ELITE!!!! It must REALLY suck to be a uk fan. I can't even remember what it was like to not be excited about football season. I feel so badly for you guys sometimes.

Ithink most people that understand the game don't doubt the you all have a good team. However, no one will know for sure until you leverage that lame schedule of yours into a BCS bowl. It kind of reminds me of the old Maryland days when Jerry Clairborne was there. They would go 8-2, 9-1, or 10-0 wind up in theCotton Bowland get their clock cleaned. If you truly believe that your top ten ranking in many circles isn't based on the fact that strenght of schedule is pushing triple digits your are truly delusional

Only difference is, we won't have our clock cleaned. Every one of you said Miami would destroy us. When it didn't happen, the excuse was that it was a "down Miami team". Well, that "down team" still waxed Florida in their Bowl game. Fact is EVERYBODY has down games no matter how many 5 star athletes they have.I could name COUNTLESS top teams that looked less than stellar last season. Including USC's 6 point squeaker to Oregon State last year. The game between Louisville and Miami last season in the OB, was two very good teams that played their asses off. Both teams showed up to play.

And if you call a SOS of 65th, "pushing triple digits", you may want to brush up on the math portion before trying for that GED.

BTW, while reading this part, I just couldn't help but think about uk basketball in the same situation. Is it kind of like the powder puff schedule you guys play in the $EC, then get your clock cleaned by lower seeded teams 3 years in a row? And to teams like Marquette, freakin UAB, and Michigan State. Yeah, it's completely clear now... I see EXACTLY what you mean. LMAO!!! Give me a BREAK!

And if you think that running the table against that sister's of the poor conference your were in last year makes you all an ELITE program overnight you're a fool. Oh, yeah I forgot you had that "moral victory" overthe mighty 9-3:?canes. That's what vaultedUofL to storied program status.

We don't count "moral victories". That would be you losers. The funny thing is, you guys get shot after shot, after shot at beating top notch programs, but continuously come up short. Seriously though, you get like 5 chances A YEAR to pull off a huge upset...but never do. Our chance USED to come up once every 5 or 6 years or so...and what do we do? Destroy a Bama team that won the Championship the following year in 91, split a 2 game series with Florida State in 02, losing the first and winning the second. And come up a dropped INT short of beating Miami...oh, but wait...they still have to face Brohm and Co next season in PJCS. I smell a victory...and it won't be considered an upset. You see just give us a shot once or twice a decade and we will show the WORLD why nobody wanted to play an extremely dangerous and(what used to be) non BCS team. That has changed now. Now there are talks with USC, OU, NC State, and more. Times...they have a changed here in the Ville. The bluebellies just refuse to see it....good thing the REST of the country doesn't.

Somtimes I read these post and get fired up.

I then start typing and half way through the thread I give up.

What's the use, it would just fly right over their heads. You could get a more intelligent conversation from a fence post.

Congrats on a great season last year, your program looks like its headed in the right direction.

Put together back to back to back successful seasons and then most UK fans will think you are for real. Until then continue to show your arrogance by coming on a opposing teams website trying to ruffle feathers.

Miami did destroy UL in the 2nd half after they realized they needed to get serious, they scored on every posession i believe on their way to 34pts in the half, Miami did not respect UL at the beginning of the game but when it mattered they put the hammer down on UL.
