I may be the only NHRA fan on here. Did anyone else see Force's horrific crash on the ESPN2 coverage of the drag races last night?

You are not alone. I have been following John Force for the last 20 years or so. We normally go to 4 NHRA meets a year; just talked to him several times Labor Day weekend at Indy. Every week, I pray, Lord, let him win; please keep him safe. Guess my prayers aren't working too well lately:icon_redface:
I was scared out of my wits when I heard the news yesterday; immediately after it happened; knowing it all evening, and then seeing it on t.v. just made it worse!!! We were listening to the live feed on nhra.com when it happened; they indicated that Kenny crossed the center line and hit John initially; that's not what happened at all, but I guess their initial view of it looked that way. I have witnessed, in person, way too many of these horrific crashes; every time it happens, it gives me cold chills. I would have bet anything that he would have been killed when I first saw it; thankfully, he was not hurt as seriously as they first thought. I just hope he comes back soon. I already have reservations for three events next season!!!

Perhaps your prayers (the ones about keeping him safe at least) are working. It could have been a lot worse.

Its unbelievable that he can go through that and come out with a broken ankle and a broken wrist. Theres got to be a way to make our football unifroms or even helmets safer if you can have the worst car wreck in years and be back in 5 weeks.

Actually, he wants to be back in two weeks; the next race is October 5th. I don't think he will be able to, but he sure wants to try! If you have never met him or see him race; go for it; it's unlike anything else you will ever witness.
