A UK official totes the beer barrel off the field after UK beats UT, 7-0 in 1976. I recognize Russell Rice beside the barrel, but is the guy with the barrel Cliff Hagan? How about that plaid coat? Interesting photo. Click on the link for the photo.

I was 27 at the time of that picture. Yep, I was cool, especially in my leisure suit, but I can't help but chuckle when I look back at pictures of that era. :icon_lol:

Speaking of the barrel. . . I understand why it was retired, but isn't it about time to stop being so PC and bring it back?

I understand that alcohol contributed to those deaths, and I feel for the families, but do we really believe that playing for a "Beer Barrel," which has "Ice Water" written on it is the reason those guys were drinking and driving. The really hypocritical thing is that UK/IU continued to play for the Bourbon Barrel.
