Anybody going to the gam on Thursday vs SC? This will be my first away game. Tickets were still available on SC's athletic website?

We will be going! Talking off work to see what I think will be a great game and victory for the Cats!

I haven't been to an away game since Georgia in 1999.

I'm seriously considering it!

I'll be there working the game for ESPN. I've had this game circled on my schedule since the beginning of the year.

I'll be there in the SC section. They are definitely cocky and need to be humbled. They've already counted UK as an automatic win.

I will be there wearing true blue. Plan to tailgate before the game at the armory just down the street (assuming you can still park there). Great atmosphere and it will be a wonderful game. Hope to see some of you there. First time poster here but use to be on Wildcat Faithful. This seems like a great site and sound discussion. Just like the good ole days when Mel was still around.

Not sure the name of the street but it runs right beside the stadium. I can't remember the street names maybe someone from Columbia can help give us some ideas on parking.

That would be Bluff Road which runs from I-77, past the stadium to Rosewood.

Guys and girls,
There is always a lot of parking down the sideroads off of Bluff Road on the north side of the stadium. These roads are Rosewood and Brookwood. Of course there are other places to park but there are businesses all thru there.

We'll be hanging out down Brookwood Drive. It's all industrial thru there. It's also about a 3-4 minute walk/stumble to the stadium. Fans are all pretty good down thru there as most USC fans are. They are cocky this time but not like Gator cocky.

ESPN will be set up somewhere on the north end of the stadium as well. Good thing for us too is that the State Fair will not be going on this time so the parking won't be as bad as in years' past.

Anything else?

I'm not sure which people in the Gamecock Nation you're referring too... I'm pretty sure not a one of the players or coaches think of the UK game as an automatic win. Granted, there are plenty of starry eyed Gamecock fans who think we are practically 7-1 already going into the Tennessee game. That being said, reasonable UK and USC fans alike know that there is no such thing as an automatic win in the SEC...

I must work with some of those "starry eyed Gamecock fans." They're already dismissing this game, particularly dogging UK's schedule thus far.

I try to be subjective...and this game scares me. USC has a good defense, and Smelley is a definite upgrade from Mitchell, IMO. He may be young and inexperienced, but we don't seem to put much pressure on the QB.

I've enjoyed reading your posts, Belligerent Chicken. It will be a good game. When is the last time UK and USC battled for pole position in the SEC East?

What time will be best to arrive to get a good spot.....will we have to pay for parking? Will your tailgait be a mix of uk and sc?
