Hello folks... I rather liked this reply I posted on a different thread, but I think it was getting buried so I'm pasting it on this new thread... SMILE, WE'RE 5-0!

Even the WILDCAT radio announcers made a comment about the upper level not having alot of people in it. I wished I could have took the time to get tickets but like other people I had other obligations to family( but I did slip in at times to catch some of the game). But like others, Fla Atlantic would be a hard draw. Look at the basketball games, lesser opponents mean less fans at Rupp.

This and the "players looking unhappy" were two topics brought up during the postgame call in show- which I actually got to listen to because I took the weirdest route back to Nashville and 630WLAP was still in range.... Anyway, I tried to call in and comment but couldn't hold a cell signal...

The players aren't unhappy- they're on a mission. A caller asked why they weren't celebrating... This is a totally different team from years past- A mature team that's on a mission to win the SEC, and will celebrate after doing so... I'll give that caller a break- we are, after all, UK fans and aren't used to being so happy this time of year... Gotta complain about something, I guess.

As for the attendance and people leaving early... I couldn't believe this wasn't a sellout. It was pretty much a "homecoming" type game where the stands should have been packed with folks eager to congratulate the team after that HUGE Arkansas win.... And the people who did come out and leave early- well, that makes no sense to me. We're WINNING football games... We're UNDEFEATED... We're FIRST PLACE in the SEC East... We'll be in the TOP 10 today... WE SHOULD SAVOR EVERY MOMENT OF THIS SEASON!!!

Different strokes for different folks!

One more note on people leaving- Folks have ALWAYS left early from UK games in DROVES at the most weirdly weird times... I swear- remember the UK/Arkansas game that went into 7 OTs? A huge mass of people would leave after each OT... I swear- that's the truth. I couldn't believe it... It's one thing to leave during a blowout, but why the heck would you leave toward the end of a close (and classic) game before you see the outcome? Very funny, really.

And one more RA RA RA note... Do you folks realize that if UK beats SC and LSU beats FLA (or even if LSU loses)- there will be a TOP10 matchup in Lexington on 10/13?!?!?!? I GUARANTEE YOU COLLEGE GAMEDAY WILL DO THEIR SHOW FROM THE ORANGE LOT!!!! I never thought I'd see the day College Gameday did their show from Commonwealth. Of course, there is a major variable- we gotta BEAT THE COCKS!

Take all my blah blah for what it's worth... I know I'm rambling, but I'm just in freaking LA LA LAND over this team and this season. TOP 10!!! It all feels so surreal.... Like a dream. Crazy, crazy stuff.

And hey- let's BE HAPPY! No complaining... No bickering... Savor this beautiful, historic time in UK Football history and save the complaints for basketball season!

Congratulate me- I think this is my longest post ever.

Hey Frank! How are things up yonder? I bet it's a real good time for a UK fan living in Louisville right now... You should come tailgate with us sometime...
