Guys and Gals, we are in truly un-charted territory. The Cats are #8 in every poll, Woodson is in everybody's top 3 for the Heisman, and the Cats are becoming everybody's cinderella pick to win the SEC and possibly get to a, dare I say, National Championship?

My only, only complaint is that they've ranked Boston College ahead of Kentucky.

There are some teams ranked lower than Kentucky that would scare me in a head to head matchup. Boston College would not.

I know we're all excited for good reason but these next 3 games will make or break our season. We have to take this one game at a time particularly since South Carolina and Spurrier have owned us (with the latter owning us for a long time). Yes LSU and Florida are on the horizon but let's not overlook USC.

I do believe we can win next week but it will not be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination

This is great news. My only problem with the voters is how they say the SEC is by far the superior conference but the top PAC 10 and Big 10 teams get the most love in the rankings, even as far as jumping a Big East team over UK and all the other SEC teams. I know the CATS had beaten a sub standard team (supposedly) this weekend. A team that had just beaten Big 10 rep Minn. who lost to OSU 30-7 this weekend.
It just seems to me no matter what the voters and media say or think, they are going to vote BIG 10 and PAC 10 up in the polls. Ther is no way either of those conferences each have 2 of the top 5 in the country. GO CATS!!!!! Keep on Keeping on........

This ranking is hard-fought, long time coming, and well-deserved. Congratulations and keep fighting for your slice of the proverbial pie. Heck take the whole pie and slap 'em down to the ground in the process. Nobody knows the future and nobody can rest on their laurels and expect to receive something just because they have gotten it in the past. Today is a new day and we can take what we want when we want as long as we work every play like it is our last. Play to the last play and take it from them. We want it more. We are hungrier than anybody else on our schedule. spurrier will cry in his trick playbook after the game.

This version of the Wildcats will already go down as a very good football team. Great teams find ways to win games like the three coming up. I am very proud of the Wildcats for getting themselves in this position. They now hold the reigns to writing their own ticket. No matter what, UK football has taken several leaps ahead. The question is are they great? We're getting ready to find out.
