I went down to the Sonics team store today outside of Key Arena and purchased my opening day Sonics tickets as well as a few other games too. Opening day is less than a month away and I can't wait. I look forward to seeing Kevin Durant and Jeff Green this weekend at the Sonics open practice and I'm really hoping Seattle fights to keep this team here. Nov 1 can't come quick enough!

When do the playoffs start ? That's the only time to watch the NBA. Other than then it's just a bunch of hot dogging, selfish, no-D basketball.

Just out of curiousity, how much of a demand is there for Sonics tickets?
I was just wondering. I know they've been in and out of the headlines with threats to move if they didn't get a new arena.

Yes, while I was down at the Sonics shop the other day I asked them what the current situation was. I asked them if they were hiring because I will be looking for a sports job in a year or so and they said they have jobs and internships and then I asked them what happens if they move. He said ALL jobs are guaranteed if they want to move to OKC. Then, when I went to buy opening day tickets, they were sold out of a bunch of areas and he said that support is actually up right now which is good and better compared to the other years. Between the current support, local businessmen willing to ante up for a new arena, and a 3 yr iron clad lease, I'm hoping that will be enough to keep this team here.

I will be rooting exclusively for the Celtics. I am a huge Rondo fan. He would have had the single season assist record, at UK, if he had any talent to work with. He would penetrate, dish out to the open man, and the players would miss the wide open shots again and again. The fact that he was the first PG taken in the draft is proof that the skeptics were wrong about his talent. Now, Rondo has a load of talent to work with. I think that his team has a great chance to win it all this season. I haven't watched the NBA on a regular basis, since the days of Bird and McHale. But, now I have a reason to.
