Update: Ryan Wallace
http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demling/uploaded_images/Ryan-Wallace-716235.JPG (http://www.courier-journal.com/blogs/demling/uploaded_images/Ryan-Wallace-716252.JPG)Bowling Green tight end Ryan Wallace made a surprise visit to the University of Kentucky campus on Tuesday and then on Wednesday picked up another scholarship offer.
Wallace, who is on fall break for two weeks, said his visit to Lexington "was a lot of fun." He spent time looking over some of the school's academic offerings and then later watched a little of the Wildcats practice.
"We had a chance to meet with the academic advisors and look around," he said. "It was nice."
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Wallace said the UK coaches have warned him with a limited number of scholarships and the team's recent success that a commitment should come sooner rather than later if he wants to play for the Wildcats.
"If I go to Kentucky, I will commit in the next few weeks and if not I'll just wait it out," Wallace said. "They told me, . . . they're already getting a lot of guys that were not interested a while back that now they are interested."
Wallace said Rutgers only recently watched his film but he said he already holds an offer from the Big East school. He's also been offered by and visited Colorado and Stanford and noted that Wake Forest and Arkansas are still in constant contact.
"I had it down to Kentucky and Colorado, I thought," Wallace said. "But now, I just don't know."

Per Demling, Ryan Wallace will make a visit to Georgia Tech in two weeks to take in a game against Georgia.
Georgia Tech offered a scholarship; he also has offers from Kentucky, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Colorado and others, per Demling.
His teammate, wide receiver D.L. Moore, is making his official visit to Purdue this weekend.

I posted this here because I thought UK might get back in.

Wallace's father and coach, Kevin Wallace, told me tonight that his son is looking around and hopes to have a final decision on where he'll attend college by the end of the week.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Wallace visited Wake Forest last weekend. Colorado had an in-home visit on Tuesday, while U of L coach Steve Kragthorpe will be there on Thursday and Wake Forest is scheduled to come in on Friday. The father said his son has also had some contact with Duke since ex-Tennessee assistant coach David Cutcliffe became the coach.
"He just felt like he wasn’t quite sure where he wanted to go," Kevin Wallace said. "It's hard for me to explain because it’s hard for me to understand.
"We want him to make the right decision and we're hoping he'll make a decision sometime by the end of the week."

Highly doubt it. With Stackhouse on board, and Mosley still in the mix I think the bus is full at TE.
Don't think we ever threw our hat in the ring on this one.

I agree RV, Wallace and Moore where 2 in state guys that the staff were not very high on.

He stated previously that he is a long time uL fan when he verballed to them. I am glad to hear he may go elsewhere as I have nothing but disdain for the smell. Besides..his daddy must have dropped him on the head at birth or something which is the only thing I can think of why someone would grow up liking the smell.:shrug1:

Yea, nothing like a couple of 6'5 and 6'6 in-state kids with multiple D1 offers not getting offered and recruited by UK.

According to Demling, the Cats did offer. :icon_question:

If UK was interested, they probably aren't now. That's what happens sometimes when you play the field.

Perhaps I should have included the term whole-heartedly.
