I want to know what the wise group thinks.
I believe we can and will win this game.
I just believe in this team.
LSU is legit but they come to our house and we have not lost but once in Commonwealth in two years now.
Your thoughts on the game.
Alot of UK fans seem to think we are going to get beat handily and I just do not see it.
I am a homer I guess

Despite a more even playing field than in years past, I still believe that it will take some extra luck for us to pull it out. With that said, I think LSU will beat us, but it will only be a 7 pt game.
My numbers I crunch say we'll lose by 8.
My heart says we'll win by 3.

It is time for the Bluegrass Miracle payback.....UK wins by 1.
I honestly believe we can pull this off. However, LSU is likely the national champion for 2007/8 so I hope we are the lone team that beats them!
UF was very effective against LSU, and I honestly believe our offense is better than UF. Now UF's defense is likely better than ours....
Nevertheless, I am confident it will be an exciting and very competitive game. Woodsen will redeem himself this week.

what did the numbers tell you against USC? I am curious- I had us winning by 4 but sure did not factor in the turnover margin.
I am curious and I think a 8 point loss seems reasonable enough and since the spread is 9 I would not be suprised at all to see UK cover but lose!
I say
UK 29
LSU 28
Lones Seiber 41 yard field goal to win it!

i'm right there with you. this is a year anything can, and already has, happen. lsu is over confident, we're pissed off for throwing away a game, commonwealth is going to be loud. it's going to be a good day.:widcat:
On some other boards I have read quite a lot of LSU fans who believe no matter how close it may be at the half that due to LSU's great depth and talent we will get blown out in the third and fourth quarters. Hey, if I was an LSU fan I'd be thinking the same thing. They remember the game last year in Death Valley.
This is not last years Cats. We have had a season of getting stronger as the game goes on so I don't necessarily go along with their thinking. If we are in it at the half we will be in it near the end and that's all we need.
Cats play mistake free. LSU is a little off their game.
Cats win 28-24.:widcat:

Numbers said Cats over SC by 9 but a rash of turnovers will skew the numbers. Our mistakes cost us from 18 to 25 points depending on how you look at it.

I think Woodson redeems himself and helps the Cats scare the daylights out of the tigers but they come up short in a heroic effort in response to the USC game.
UK - 34
LSU - 40

These kids deserve a HUGE win, and there's no doubt in my mind they will give a monstrous effort, but I'm not sure we can overcome the vast difference in talent. I keep saying "The best team doesn't always win." Here's hoping!
We deserve to win YES but Im just hoping that "if we do lose" its a close game.. Other than that as long as we dont lose by 49 er w.e it was ill be happy :icon_mrgreen:

Speaking for the majority of the LSU fans, we are not over confident. UK has a good team with an outstanding QB, the game will be close.
The "X" factors for LSU:
Why LSU could lose...
Sandwich game between Florida and Auburn... will LSU "overlook" UK?
Kentucky is always a tough place for the Tigers to play.
LSU will have the #1 target on their backs.
UK is way better than Appalachian State and Stanford... that's why they play the game! It would be an upset, but not nearly as large as Michigan and USC losing.
Payback from the '02 "Bluegrass Miracle".
Why LSU should win...
Depth, depth and more depth.
LSU's running game.
LSU's defense.
Combination of Matt Flynn and Perrilloux.
Having and wanting to keep the #1 ranking.
We look forward to a great game. We'll see you Saturday at the tail gate party.

This game, no doubt, is the most difficult one on our schedule. LSU's talent level, including speed and power, is simply unreal. To win the game, we must handily win the turnover margin, in contrast to being -3 1/2 as we essentially were against South Carolina. Some kick returns could surely be helpful, too.
Anything can happen on a given Saturday. I'm HOPING that we fans help that happen by being our LOUDEST ever, thus disrupting LSU's offense.
This particular team definitely gives us a chance. It CAN happen. I BELIEVE!!! :)

We haven't played an A game yet IMO. Maybe that's who this team is - talent enough to win but mistake-prone. But if not & we do play an A, we win IMO & by more than a FG.

LSU will NOT score 40 points against our defense. 34 sounds about right for us, so I'm gonna go 34-30 Cats.

Other than Matt Flynn and Perrilloux how about you all trade your pluses for our pluses - even up - no questions asked? LOL
I have no doubt that your team is not taking this game lightly although I am hoping for a bit of an 'overlook' due to the FL and AU game sandwich. I hear what you personally believe but I think a lot of Tiger Fans think this will be a cake walk. I've read a lot of posts to that effect on Rivals, Scout, TigerBait, etc.
Hey, I look forward to seeing you at the tailgate (I'm making the Andullie/Chicken Gumbo - Now don't give me a hard time if it's more Kentucky Cajun than Bayou.)

We did lose to South Carolina at home last year.... just FYI this is not the second year we are undefeated at home...although we DO have a nice home field record.
I say this is going to be a REALLY tight game. WE have the oppurtunity to help our cats win. WE DO!! If we are loud like we were in the UL game and we have a little luck, we WILL win.
