Mine does the same thing.

I'm thinking you should be able to delete your cookies and history and it should fix it.

You using Firefox by any chance?

Ah... I was worried about that... we are using new software and it does not resolve the homepage in the same way as the old one did... This can be fixed by updating your favorites link. Type http://www.wildcatnation.net into the browser and it will take you to the NEW homepage. The old one resolved to something like wildcatnation.net/modules/news/index.html and that is what was saved when folks added it to their "favorites" or bookmarks. SO... just update your bookmark to the straight URL and it will solve that issue!
