IMO, this will be the best team UK will play this season. They have speed to burn on offense and defense and know how to use it. The best hope for the Cats will be that LSU spent everything they had last week in coming from behind to beat Florida. But I think they just have too much talent for the Cats. The Cats will keep it close but come up short in the end.

LSU 27
UK 17

As usual I hope I'm wrong. Game will be on CBS at 3:30 pm this Saturday.

but keep in mind that the last time I make this exact same prediction, we beat the ninth ranked team in the country and that team has been on a downward spiral ever since.

This is the EXACT post I made then:

"The only "prediction" I'll make is that if the game is within a touchdown or less, and I think it will be, going into the fourth quarter, all bets are off and it's a toss up from then on."

GO CATS!

Speaking for the majority of the LSU fans, we are not over confident. UK has a good team with an outstanding QB, the game will be close.

The "X" factors for LSU:
Why LSU could lose...
Sandwich game between Florida and Auburn... will LSU "overlook" UK?
Kentucky is always a tough place for the Tigers to play.
LSU will have the #1 target on their backs.
UK is way better than Appalachian State and Stanford... that's why they play the game! It would be an upset, but not nearly as large as Michigan and USC losing.
Payback from the '02 "Bluegrass Miracle".
Why LSU should win...
Depth, depth and more depth.
LSU's running game.
LSU's defense.
Combination of Matt Flynn and Perrilloux.
Having and wanting to keep the #1 ranking.

We look forward to a great game. We'll see you Saturday at the tail gate party.

I think it depends on US if we win.

If we were as loud or louder than the UK v UL game with a sold out crowd we WILL win if the cats are playing correctly and up to there ability with help from the crowd.

If not we will lose.

With crowd: 30 - 27 UK
Without crowd: 41 - 17 LSU

LSU fans are out of their minds with over-confidence. Hopefully, and probably, their players are as well. The fans are downright insulting to UK at www.tigerforums.com (http://www.tigerforums.com) . They're looking way past the Cats to Auburn. Arrogance always primes a team for an upset. Even the University of Michigan's next head ball coach, Les Miles, thinks he's deceiving everybody by closing practice (http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/10411702.html).

Come on, Les, you're not fooling anybody. Early Doucet may be ready for the UK game? Hey, we encountered trickery tactics from the OBC last week! Mayhems we gonna prepare for Doucet's return and be better off either way? Write it down, Wolverine man.

The crowd can make a difference....but not that kind of a difference.

Much more respectable showing than last year. I expect Brooks and staff to open things up a bit. The extra time to prepare for LSU, and to heal up should help UK. LSU is solid, and on paper should have an easy time. But they cannot possibly consider the team they beat so easily last year to give them much of a battle. They are ripe, but I don't know if we can reach quite high enough to knock them off the tree. I think, if we get a turnover or two, maybe get some good runbacks (which we have not done very well this year), and maybe throw in a trick play here or there, well, upsets have been happening right and left this year. I think it will be a great game.

I was listening to The Bob and Will Show this morning and Will Wolford predicts a Kentucky win. He detailed how this game plays in Kentucky's favor and that if they can get ahead of LSU and force them into a passing game that they don't want to be in, it's to UK's advantage.

Funny, I had a dream about the final score last night. In the dream, I predicted UK would win 79-31. hehe

But seriously, here's my real prediction:

LSU - 42
UK - 24

Hope that score is flipped around.

Is UK defense for real?

Yes... but so is LSU's

UK 21 LSU 20
or if wrong
40 to 26
or
26 to 40

Most important outcome NO INJURIES. LSU players are nice guys... only when they are out of their uniforms.

We need to run the ball & thus shorten the game. We do: K 27, LS 17.

The Cats o-line shows up, they don't turn it over, get up early, forcing LSU to pass, which they don't want to do, and win: 31-23.
