Don't see this tying anything to the USC administration or staff.

Does lack of institutional control sound familiar (unfortunatley for us)? They are supposed to monitor the situation closely to ensure this outside activity is not taking place.

Sounds awfully similar to the Kentucky basketball situation back in the 1980s. If information like this continues to come out, I wouldn't be surprised to see USC get ROCKED.
At a min. they will more than likely have to forfeit games. If it happend before his SO year they will probably have to vacate their NC, which is a pretty big deal. If it is just his JR year, it is less of a big deal since they didn't win it all. It will probably trigger a further investigation of the school also, which I doubt will be fun. Considering all the money, fame and sleazy agent types in LA I seriously doubt everything is coshure at USC even if it isn't any of the coaches.

Long Beach State is about to get hammered. Nothing will happen to USC.

Doesn't matter. . . I know I am going to sound like a cranky old UK homer, here, but the NCAA picks and chooses upon whom it really enforces rules. Look at OSU and USC. . . Yet the B-ball player at Bama can't even get his extra year of eligibility. Colorado's Jeremy Bloom was ruled ineligible for taking endorsements for a completely different sport. Athletes at some schools get in trouble for taking plane tickets to get home for a death in the family, while the guys at Kansas can buy gifts for all their guys. . .
The NCAA is a joke!

I don't understand the rules I guess. Right now the following teams are on probation
Ohio State - Football, Men's and Women's Basketball
University of Oklahoma - Football and Men's Basketball
University of South Carolina - Football
Arizona State University - Football
What punishments have been doled out to these teams?

This stuff has been hanging around for 2 or 3 years. Nothing has happened yet and I would be very surprised if anything happens. But, had it been UK, well then.

The NCAA definately seems to have an agenda. If you are on the outside of the clique, heaven help you. If you are in the clique, you can do whatever you like and get by with it.

The NCAA doesn't want anyone understanding their "rules".
