Some really nice things said about our Cats. Worth the read for that alone.

But....How can a credible writer make Arkansas his "Biggest Disapointment" and have Felix Jones (from Arkansas) his "Midseason MVP?"

That's just plain lunacy. Jones is a heckuva player, but you can't be a mid-season MVP if your team is the mid-season Bust of the Year. You just can't.

Let's go Cats and beat them Tigers!

That is a good read.

I started a thread on the team by team breakdown they gave of us.

They have ten SEC teams in bowls. That might be a stretch. Only Vandy and Ole Miss is out of their picture. I can't see all these teams getting the necessary 6 wins if they keep beating up each other.

not a stretch at all. several teams still have 1-2 non comference games left. sc and UK have five wins and are all but locks. Bama, auburn, miss st, fla, and georgia all have four wins, and I don't see any of those teams not winning at least 2 more. tenn. and arkansas have three wins but tenn. has seven games left. arkansas is the only one that may not hit 6 wins, since they have gimmes against ole miss and fla. international but also have 5 toughies against auburn, sc, tenn, miss st, and lsu. But who knows about vandy either. they have three wins and probably have their bowl hopes riding on their matchup with uga this weekend, since they'd have a hard time winning three more after that. So I say good chance the SEC gets 10 bowl teams, 9 is pretty much a certainty.

They have ten SEC teams in bowls...

I saw that too. Would be nice but tough for a couple of teams. Let's take a look.

Vandy is 3-2 and has these teams left:
10/13#24 Georgia (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=61)
10/20at #7 S Carolina (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2579)
10/27Miami (OH) (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=193)
11/03at #13 Florida (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=57)
11/10#17 Kentucky (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=96)
11/17at #25 Tennessee (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2633)
11/24W Forest (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=154)
Four home games but mostly tough opponents. Will be tough to garner 3 more wins.

Tennessee is also 3-2 with these games remaining:
10/13at Miss St (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=344)
10/20at Alabama (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=333)
10/27#7 S Carolina (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2579)
11/03La Lafayette (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=309)
11/10Arkansas (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=8)
11/17Vanderbilt (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=238)
11/24at #17 Kentucky (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=96)
Should beat La Laf but none of the others are gimmes.

Missisippi State is 4-2 and has these games remaining:
10/13#25 Tennessee (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2633)
10/20at #8 W Virginia (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=277)
10/27at #17 Kentucky (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=96)
11/10Alabama (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=333)
11/17at Arkansas (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=8)
11/23Ole Miss (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=145)
Will be tough but not impossible to squeeze two more wins from that lineup.

Arkansas is 3-2 as well and have these games yet to play:
10/13#22 Auburn (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2)
10/20at Ole Miss (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=145)
10/27Fla Int'l (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2229)
11/03#7 S Carolina (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2579)
11/10at #25 Tennessee (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2633)
11/17Miss St (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=344)
11/23at #1 LSU (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=99)
Should be able to handle Ole Miss and Fla Int to get to the 6 required:

The other 8 teams are at 4 wins or more at the halfway point and even with getting into the meat of the SEC schedule, most of the teams are so evenly matched they should be able to get to the required 6 wins with no problem.

Don't forget that even though there are more bowl eligle teams than bowls every year (a few at least), SEC teams with 6-wins are more attractive than smaller schools with 6-wins. SEC fans travel, buy tix, etc. If we have 8-9-10 bowl eligble teams they're all getting invites.
