UK defense can make plays, too

Kentucky has claimed a stake as one of the country’s best offensive teams this season, but the Wildcats have a few defensive players holding their own as well.

Senior linebacker Wesley Woodyard is the Southeastern Conference’s leading tackler this season with 65 stops, 35 solo. Sophomore end Jeremy Jarmon is the league’s sack leader with 6 1/2.

Too, yes, our defense needs to improve on third and long, BUT our defense has also made a lot of fine plays and deserves more credit. Besides Wesley Woodyard and Jeremy Jarmon, Trevard Lindley and Ventrell Jenkins particularly stood out to me yesterday. Then the BIG PLAY of the day came from Braxton Kelley the last play of the game. Actually, KUDOS to EVERY UK defender. :)

It took LSU four possesions before they got their first 1st down......that is great defense!!
