That phantom pass interference call against Lindley could not have come at a better time for LSU now could it?
K Burton has got to be the most over-rated player on the team. Two drop balls and one give-away. What a great deal. Free Education and not do a damn thing to earn it. [Edited]

Burton has come through big in the past. Calling him a wuss is inappropriate and childish at this point in the game. Pretty harsh comments on a player whose team is down by 3 at half.:thumbdn:

A lot of SEC games are determined by calls by the refs. I would almost think they need to review every call made by them. They are human and more than likely a fan of some team (or a gambler like some have proven to be). The CATS are still in the game and Burton has had a bad half. Hopefully he'll smoke LSU in the 2nd. GO CATS!!!!

Good God man.
Burton is one of the best players ever to put on a Kentucky uniform.
BTW, he's playing on a bum ankle and is sick.

Kentucky fans are so fickle. One minute we love our players, the next we're ready to throw them under the bus. Can't we just support our team without being pompous jerks?

Every player can have a bad game now and again. However it is a team sport and Johnson came through large in Burton's stead. Burton is a great player and will be in the NFL next year. Relish in the victory...

:icon_rolleyes: Burton was sick as a dog all week and especially the last two days. A healthy Burton makes those catches. I'm amazed he is able to be on the field. He is a warrior and a first class young man.

Don't EVER give up on the Cats. Where do you get he is over-rated? Just where in the world have you been these last 4 years? He is our best WR and will be getting paid to play next year.

dumb, inappropriate comment....go find another team, like 70 miles up I-64...they could use your "help"
I'm 78 miles up I-64 and I couldn't even talk when Scott was stopped on that last play. But wow, Locke showed he can play and he doesn't get more reps then somethings wrong...

Maybe its just me...but I thought the refs actually did a good job. There were several calls that were reviewed, but IMO, the correct calls were made.

how can you say that keenan burton is the most overated player ever? He is playing sick and with a bad ankle and still is putting up some decent numbers. He is coming up with big plays at big times for us and will help us alot when he is feeling better.

I agree TOTALLY, they took the time, whether the play was reviewed or not to make sure the correct call was made...there were a few misses for both sides but I think they came out even...

Exactly, bleedbluelady. Keenan is an outstanding player, a warrior, AND a beautiful human being. I also pray that he soon regains his health.
In regard to the officiating, the thought of that one call when we had stopped the Tigers on fourth down-- and the seven points it ended up providing LSU-- had lingered with me as we struggled to catch up with the Tigers. I would even notice when we, not LSU, would be leading, not trailing, if only those seven points were not on LSU's side of the scoreboard. Having said that, I also noticed later how many key calls the officials made in favor of the Cats. So it seems to me that the offcials must have been calling the game as they saw it. Kudos to the officials of this game.

Doc's got 20 posts since February of 2006. Proves he's a U of L fan. Takes a month per post to work the spell checker.

I was in the middle of the LSU section. By that point in the game, they thought that call was too little too late after the refs had given the game away to UK.

You have got to be kidding me. Burton was sick all week and was sent home twice by the coaches to bed. He did not even go to the movies on Fri. night with the team...............give him a break, he has come up great in the past and will again.

I am usually the one giving the SEC refs hell. Tonight I have to say it was a pretty well called game. With the one exception of the pass interference call when we had stopped them and they were going to have to punt I thought they did a good job. There were a couple of other calls I questioned and I am sure the LSU fans are questioning some of them from their point of view. Over the years we all know that the Cats have been hosed, big time, when they play the top ranked teams. I have always thought the SEC refs protect the SEC top ranked teams. I fully expected that scenario to play out last night, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe that means that now we are considered one of the top ranked SEC teams. Hmmmmmmm?
GO BIG BLUE!!!

Man you don't even have a clue. There is not a better young man in the country than Keenan. He makes me proud to say he is a Wildcat, and I know he will continue to do so in the future. He, along with several of the Seniors could probably be drawing a big paycheck right now, but with sacrifice, pride, and determination they came back to give us this special season. They sure didn't have to. I will always be grateful to them.

How can so many of you fall prey to the bait posting of a UL fan? Some of y'all are way too easy to influence.
People make flaming posts, just to get others fired up.

I saw the game through Kentucky blue tinted glasses. What I saw was the refs giving LSU every call in the first half and making a few calls against the tigers in the 2nd half. I admit it. I am biased.

I'm happy to read that most of you felt the officials did a good job. I happen to think that also, although I questioned a couple calls. They handled a very difficult game really well.
There was one pass interference call that went in our favor that I thought they missed because I thought our receiver pushed off. It was on the play where there were off-setting penalties. I thought both teams got some bad spots, but overall the officials did a good job, and allowed the teams to determine the outcome.
If I was the coach of the #1 team who had just lost, I would probably say the same thing, but when I got to the next practice I would concentrate on the mistakes.

I personally witnessed Burton talking to those young boys at the UK Youth Football clinic this summer. My grandson and the most of the rest of the boys never took their eyes off of him. He has a great motivational talk for those young, impressionable boys. Go Keenan!

burton is a great player and great young man. it's his attention from defenses on the field that's helped stevie j get a lot of his touches as well. he's the real deal and we will miss him next year. but i suspect we'll get to watch him on sudays.

You are very lucky I didn't see this post until just now, cause I'm feeling very generous. I'll be watching and one more infantile comment like your original will get you shown out the door.
