Tony Dixon has gotta be moved to 3rd string now. Locke needs more carries!

as long as Little is out....for real. Locke, along with the defense was the difference in this game. I like Dixon, but he tried to jump outside all night and against a team with speed...you cant do that. Locke ran right up the gut and took it to 'em.

And took his hits as well. Locke was getting hit pretty hard, but he held his own, never coughed up the ball and popped right up every time. Kid has got spirit.

Locke needs most of his touches in the second half when the other team's D is winded.

Locke definitely gives us a LOT of reason to be optimistic about next year. He will be a MONSTER by his sr year.

I agree. We have a great stable of backs. I am so proud of our offensive line. The one area with the biggest question marks before the season has graded very well these first 6 games. They are the MVP so far IMO:thumbup:

No doubt! Did they even give up a sack tonight?? And that was against the toughest DL and LB group they'll ever see.

Agreed. At this point I'll cede my game calling to Coach Brooks and if he says Locke comes in big during the second half then so be it.

In the post-game interview I heard Locke credit Dixon for his hard running, wearing the defense down, so that when he came in fresh in the second half, he had the advantage.

I still think you have to go with Little as the first string. Hopefully Little will be back to 100% by the Florida game and between him and Dixon, they can wear down Florida's defense somewhat and bring in fresh speed in the forth with Locke.

I hope Rapheal makes it back . I LOVE having three guys who can gash you. I do believe Locke might move up to second string simply because Tony keeps putting the ball on the ground. Locke is TOUGH and I have yet to see him fumble.

He is still a FRESHMAN. That is amazing.
Let Little get his carries, he deserves eveyone of them.
But you all can see this kid is going to be a STUD.
He ran right at LSU, NO FEAR, and took his licks, didn't cough up the ball, and showed that when his time come he will be HUGE!

A true freshman at that. This time last year he was in high school.

Dixon had a great run against Arky and then put it on the ground and Locke took over. Last night, same thing - Dixon has a real good run down the sideline for 10-15 yds and fumbles it, luckily it bounced out of bounds and we never saw Dixon again. In the old days, we had to stick with the one good back, not now.

I am excited to see Locke whenever he enters the game. He great as strictly a runner/blocker. He has to improve his hands to receive playing time earlier in the game. With Little and Dixon in, the total playbook can be used. All though I do have doubts with Dixon's fumbling woes.
