“Reflecting back on what we did in the Tennessee game, it was a good win for us. I think it is a win we can really build on. We got great performances from Randolph Morris and Rajon (Rondo), who even though he was under the weather did a good job of getting to the basket and distributing the ball. We got good all-around play from guys like Brandon (Stockton) with his hustle and Patrick (Sparks) I thought it was a good team effort all the way around. We got some good play from Rekalin Sims, who hasn’t played a lot lately, but stepped up and played well. I thought everyone contributed - some more than others, but everyone contributed.”
On Senior Day….
“Every time you get ready for Senior Day there is always a big build up. This is a special time for these young men and we try to make it special for them because they have been a big part of our program. Ravi (Moss), Patrick (Sparks), Brandon (Stockton) and Preston (LeMaster) have been integral parts of this program. They have meant a lot to us and to me. I know everyone is going to be excited to show their appreciation for these young men for what they have contributed to the program. I’ve always told my guys you get what you put into something. Certainly these guys have gotten a lot out of this program because they put a lot into it. ”
On Florida….
“Florida is a team that beat us there (in Gainesville) last time and manhandled us in the second half. We made a game of it for 24 minutes but outside of that it really wasn’t much of a game. Looking back on it, Taurean Green had an unbelievable day and we had no answer for their inside play. It looked like Joakim Noah had a really good game the other day (at Georgia), so we are going to have to find a way to contain him. They (UF) are coming off a good win against Georgia. There is a lot to play for because both teams are playing for that bye in the SEC Tournament. We have a lot to play for.”
