Woodson coming on ESPN radio now

to be interviewed by Doug gottlieb on your local ESPN radio station...Ill try and take notes and post the info...

very brief interview but Andre was well-spoken and humble as always...

Gottlieb teased the interview with a statement to the effect "a school where basketball is first, second and third is now a contender for the NCAA football championship..."

Gottlieb: "Andre have you had a chance to catch your breath and really enjoy the win over #1 LSU Saturday night?"
AW: We all enjoyed the win that night and the day after but the team has done a great job getting focused for the Florida game this week"

Gottlieb: "Your defense has been maligned all year, what did it mean for the defense to step up and get a great stop there at the end of the game?"
AW: "This season the defense has really stepped up and made big plays for us, there have been times when the offense has struggled and the defense gets back out on the field and makes a big play to get us the ball back. Great feeling for our defense."

Gottlieb: "That double move by Stevie Johnson on that lsat touchdown was sick...have you gotten a chance to see it on film?"
AW: That was a play we designed for them last year because we knew their corners are really aggressive and come up on the ball. Last year I missed him. The delay of game penalty put us in the perfect position to run that same play this year and we were prepared to run it."

Gottlieb: "take me inside the huddle after you guys took that delay og game penalty."
AW: "The original call was a HB screen pass but I saw them come up in an all out blitz so I checked to max protect and saw the CBs were also coming up making it a good time for the double move. Steve did a great job staying on his feet after the initial contact and made a terrific catch."

Gottlieb: "Derrick Locke made a great block but you still took a pretty vicious shot and kinda had to shake that off for the 2 point conversion attempt."
AW: "Locke did a great job all night understanding the pass protections, hitting the holes and protecting the football."

Gottlieb: "Without Rafael Little this weekend tell me what you have to do to beat UF this weekend"
AW: "We have to continue to execute the way we have been all season, limit turnovers, not put the defense in tough positions and be in a position to win the game in the 4th quarter."

Gottlieb: "andre has to go he has meetings and things but there are no more doubters UK is #7 with a bullet." He then went into what an intersting story Andre was, being beaten out in Spring practice last year and how midseason things started to click and he ended up as the MVP of the Music City Bowl. He mentioned the high school rivalry between he and Brohm and stated that Woodson would likely be the #1 QB taken in the draft.

Count me impressed by Doug Gottlieb. He did his homework on this one. I wonder if he stole Woodson's credit card after the interview ended?
