We need the Dores' to pull this one out for us....
The game to watch right now has to be the Alabama vs. Tennesee Game.
17-14 almost the half.

Now its Vandy 17 SC 6 start of the 4th quarter. I went to ESPN and clicked on the score for Vandy and SC and getting live stats. Looks like SC went for it on 4th and Vandy held them.

Vandy is still winning 17-6 going into the fourth quarter and has the ball.

A little over 5 minutes to go with Vandy at the 37 yard line and a first down.

The Commodores seem to pull off one of these surprises each year. Good it's out of the way and won't be UK. lol

What was the big difference in this game?
Earl Bennett didn't have a big day. Vanderbilt played its former backup QB, who accounted for a ton of their offense.
Did Vanderbilt's defense pretty much do it? It is a solid unit - better than people think.

I listened to some of it on the radio. South Carolina seemed to never have good ball positioning and Vandy jumped out on top early.

SC did exactly what we did against them. They turned it over often and deep in their own territory giving Vandy great field position leading to the VU scores. Of course when they did it to us it was great defensive play, but when it happened to them it was just shooting themselves in the foot. Amazing how their fans perceptions changed in 3 weeks....

Vanderbilt sacked SC's qb SEVEN times, besides intercepting him twice. Playing at home in its own stadium, SC only gained 195 yards against Vandy. Ouch!
I truly believe that the Cats CAN win all its remaining games. We had better not overlook ANY team, though, obviously including Vandy.

Exactly Poodoo. It can happen to anyone, home or away. If you dont bring it every Saturday, you are going to lose in the SEC. No pushovers or doormats anymore. Best conference top to bottom again and being tied for first at the end of October feels dang good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was thinking the same thing. remember the USCjr fan on here after their win over us getting all upset because we were talking about how badly we played instead of heaping tons of glory on them about how well they played? i think USCjr has a good football team and they did some nice things against us but we easily played our worst game of the season there. there's a difference between playing good and just straight up getting beat (i.e. us against florida this weekend) and playing a bad game and taking your own selves out of it. USCjr would probably would beat vandy 9 out of 10 games but hey... does that make vandy a great team, or USCjr just played bad?

Yes. Vanderbilt is a dangerous team this year - moreso than people credit them. They may go bowling this year. I'd love to see Vanderbilt rack up a bowl win, perhaps against the CUSA champion in the Liberty, or an ACC team in the Music City right there at home for them.

Me, too, AS LONG AS we Cats don't help them get to that bowl. :)
