Let's not get down, we lost to a very good team after we just won over #1 in 3 OT's. The team may never admit it but the emotions of last week and the physical beatings may have played a part tonight - UF's offense was hard to stop and we missed on oppurtunites in the 1st half that killed us, not to mention the big run-back in the 2nd half.

We are now a very well respected SEC team and have a chance, over the next 3 wks, to climb right back up there around 6-8, that's right we win the next two and have a bye week, that's 3 weeks we can keep moving back up. This team could still win out and who knows what can happen.

I've never been prouder of UK football and I'm the furthest thing from a fair-weathered fan. We need a win next week and then a couple of weeks to recharge the batteries and get healthy. We can beat everyone left on our schedule if we come to play.

 Excellent post and let's kick some bulldog bottom next week...I'm sixty and this is the most exciting Kentucky football team of my life (so far)...to quote Big Al Bundy, "let's rock.

Thats right and a 10-2 still gives us an outside shot @ catlanta and of course a BCS game. Don't get down in the dirt yet guys. We lost a very good game to a team that was MUCH better rested than we were. I'm sure with more rest we might have had this game.

Go cats!
I Sill believe!

Would anyone here have bet that we would be 6-2 with our schedule so far? Louisville, Arkansas(road),USC(road),LSU, Florida, and still have that record............I bet not. We have 4 left and our TEAM will battle to the end, and I'll keep yellin' till the last whistle. Great job guys, keep it up, your fans love you!!!!!!

to add this.
It's GREAT to be able to come on this board after a tough loss and read positive, upbeat, threads for a change instead of some of the gloom and doom ones we've had to sift through in recent years.

That alone speaks volumes as to how far the team has come.

I honestly think we will win out and go 10-2. We need to play a solid game against Miss. State, then the open date. That gets us ready for the stretch drive. Here's how we get to the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.
1. We win out........I am confident we will.
2. South Carolina beats Florida, that is Florida's 3rd loss, they are out.
3. Tennessee beats South Carolina, that is USC's 3rd loss, they are out.
4. The final game of the regular season has UK and UT playing for a trip to the SEC Champioship game. UK packs for Catlanta.

This UK team NEVER quits, never hangs its head, no matter what happens to them. So, I will never quit on them either.
This team, the coaching staff and the fans deserve this season and a trip to Atlanta.
I BELIEVE!!!

The only one I might take exception with, is no. 2. I don't have much hope that So. Car. will beat UF. As we saw yesterday UF is flat out good, and I haven't been convinced this season that So. Car. is that good. Their losing to Vandy, at home yesterday, only reinforces my feelings about them. I still feel we should have defeated them.

it's a crazy year. it's not going to be over until the fat lady sings.

this team we have is a good team capable of beating anyone on any given night. we will not play a better team than us the remainder of the season. 10-2 should happen.

one game at a time... beat miss st!!!!

I was thinking "Look out Georgia and Tennessee" but, you're right! We don't want to overlook anybody. If we start doing that we"ll end up like loserville! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Fla. still has to go to Georgia and SC
SC still has to go to Tenn and Ark with a game at home against Fla.
Tenn has to come to UK and home against SC and Ark.
UK is at Ga. and has Tenn at home.

But of couse as anyone who follows SEC football you have to be ready every game no matter which SEC team it is this year ( Just ask the old ball coach at SC)

Actually FL doesn't go to GA - ever. They play in Jacksonville every year.

Same feelings here. Also, as someone said, we fans LOVE this team. Their HEART was so obvious again yesterday, even though we did not pull out the victory.

GREAT thread JOHN. Thanks for starting it with the fine post. Also, I BELIEVE. :)

We are a legit top 15 team.

Florida had to play it's best game of the season thus far to beat us.

We can play better.

I love me some Unquittables.

WE have left everything we have had on the field each game this year. (Even SC, although turnovers put us in too big a hole to dig out of.) Nothing more can be asked. Lets just concentrate on beating MSU without any letdown, then rejuvenate for a week before what could be the most important 3 games Uk has had in recent history!!!

this is what makes the sec so tough. UCSjr one week, lsu the next then turnaround and play florida. show me another team in the nation with a tougher three week stretch than that. now we have to turn around and play a good miss st team that will come here to win.

our team really deserves the off week they have coming up.

What has impressed me the most is how physical this team has become. I have seen some of the hardest hits from a Kentucky team in a long time. We even knocked around super-man yesterday. We are in very good position if we can just take care of buisness one week at a time.

Excellent post, crice561. I, too, LOVE how PHYSICAL this team has become. Too, it's just ONE game at a time. This team has already done something very special in beating the #1 team in the nation. It can still do dome more VERY SPECIAL things. :)

I think it shows how far UK has come in football considering that the biggest arguments on this board is the weekly discussions on where UK will stand in the polls after each game.
