First congratulations to our seniors.

Second we, with a few exceptions, been one of the most embarassing, passionless teams that i can remember in my life of watching UK basketball. I would rather have the probation era teams than this team 100 to 1/2, NO QUESTION. We were a questionable call away from getting sweeped for our final three games. A two point win at TN should not the be the ultimate acheivement of the year. This team does not care about the name across their chest, nor do they care period. You watched the same game i did, unbelieveable. Please let us not try to spin it, i don't have what was wrong, but it was like we were in a trance.

To some, this will not get any better next season. We can drop big blue acid, drink kool aid and think all we like, but it won't. Our recruits while solid aren't going to bust down any walls, and i have seen all of them play. Tyler Smith isn't coming here he is memphis bound, and Phil Jones for all his accoaldes is a project, maybe at a better skill level than our other three or four projects, but a PROJECT none the less. Sure we will win some games that we aren't supposed to or even suprise in a game. I mean we played today like we played earlier in the season, like we were mailing it in earlier in the season. THis is the exact same team that played indiana, kansas, north carliona, even with morris, they still looked passionless. Just making silly 8th grade mistakes.

Guys, sometimes hard choices have to be made, Shawn Finney and Kyle Macy aren't going to be saviors. We have two failed coaches at lower tier schools, tell me how that will change anything. And not just failures, but failed badly. Including our seniors, we may lose ROndo, Shag, Morris, and a transfer or two.

Regardless, what we do in the tournment (SEC or otherwise) I think the time has come for Tubby to seriously thinking about moving on, thank him for what he has done, and let him go off and make his name in the NBA. Sometimes a breath of fresh air is what we need, and i think. with the exception of 98 and 03, we really haven't put a string or a run, it is just been one step forward, two steps back. I was SO EXCITED and looking forward to this season, but could never imagine what we are now going thru. CHuck Hayes hid alot of our weakness. The ball line defense is so wonderful, that i couldn't tell you five teams that run it. Pitino Lite, isn't lite, his name is Coach Billy Donovan, and he has sweep tubby the last four meetings and come in on his own as a coach. Who knows who is the answer, but sometimes a breath of a fresh air is needed, and if Tubby left right now, he would be remembered fondly... He stays and replays, it could get very ugly.... Hopefully he will do the right thing, and tackle a new challenge, i don;t know of anyone who stays 10 years at a job, a new challenge should be treasured and loved.

I agree with all you said except the part about the new recruits.

As usual, we are eye to eye for the most part. I think Morris will be back and I think Jones will be an improvement over what we have (based on his coaches comments at least). I also think Stevenson will help.

Guys neither Jones or Smith have committed, shouldn't we have learned about sure things by now.. Coaches say alot of things.

Stevens, is not a four.. He is a bean pole. It took ever team in the NBA passing on Morris plus free agent camps, that let him come back, he has improved enough that a team will take a chance, though i could be wrong.

regardless, we will be rebuilding, and that isn't good enough.

Oh, I don't expect much improvement from this years record next year either. That said, I thik we all learned the value of chemistry the Tubby's teams. It will have to be a wait and see thing. Good point about Jones. Forgot his verbal was only rumored. I guess because you mentioned him in the way you did I was asuming you thought he'd be here in your evaluation

I can't see us being ANY improved next year. I've heard many here justify this years inconsistancy and poor basketball IQ with "They aremainly Sophmores" but somehow we will improve with a large infusion of Freshmen. I don't see it. Tubby's lack of recruiting and his allowing David Hobbs to turn us into his old Crimson Tide teams with style of play has reduced UK basketball to a shell of what it was. Very depressing. I wish the man would leave.

I just really hope Barnhart does not offer the coaching position to Billy D. I would be more embarassed the day he turns it down than I am now.

just sit back, close your eyes and put on a tape from ten years ago... it will have the same effect and none of the side effects.

The NCAA div One has gone from a coaches league to a players league. Talented players don't want to come to UK witness the UNC Duke game last night. Would anyone on UK's team start for Duke or UNC? No. Three talented UK players have attitudes that forces the coach to not let them start. Not GOOD>
