Sounds good to me. It would be a nice birthday present for me, also. Even though my birthday is the 7th. I wouldn't mind that present being a week late. BTW the 7th is also Coach Gillispie's birthday. So it's a good present for all of us.

If we get Singleton we will have a moster class. 2 five stars and 1 four star is a great class. Then you get Stutz and you have filled all your holes and shored up a couple spots. I like the looks.

My birthday is Feb 10th and I am willing to give up my wish now. Does that count?

He isn't supposed to be here tonight. Maybe on Saturday? I hope he signs then for sure.

That would be a huge class. In my book, if we get Singelton, it should be three five stars. I know the "experts" consider Darius a 4 star, but I think he is a five. Like many on this board, I have seen him play in person, and his better than his 45th ranking. JMO. The difference between him and Hopson is the "team" concept. And rankings don't favor that. Would love to get Singelton to compliment Miller and Liggins. Throw in Stutz and it's just gravy.

Darius is probably, IMO, more accurately rated using the average of major recruiting services. Using the RSCI, he comes out at #30 which puts him at a very high 4 (5 stars are usually top 25). By comparision, DeAndre is #19 and Singleton is #23. Having these 3 and Stutz in our '08 class would be gravy nonetheless as you said.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mr. Singleton becomes a Cat.

Too, if Singleton visits this Saturday, that is obviously is only a few days before Coach G's birthday. If I'm Coach G, I'm asking Mr. Singleton to commit on the spot and make my birthday a HAPPY one.

I mean no disrespect for Florida State's basketball program.....but, I am having some difficulty understanding why FSU is one of the two "finalists". There are other fine programs within the same general radius of Singleton's home town. Maybe playing time is an issue, but UK is not overly stacked at his position, either. I am obviously biased towards UK for many reasons, I just have trouble understanding why he might choose FSU over UK. I hope he ultimately chooses to go for the Mercedes rather than the Ford.

Haha, My birthday is the 7th as well and I think I have met 4 people in the last week with the same birthday. How cool is it that coach has the same brithday AND there is a game that night? I am definatley making as sign.

That's fantastic! BTW, it's also the birthday of Evangelist Billy Graham. He'll be 89 this year, and I'll be 59. Coach Gillispie will be 48.

BTW, B Dam Cat, I had an aunt who shared your birthday. She passed away back in 1995. If she were still alive, she would be 104 this year.

Two words: Leonard Hamilton. Their head coach (and former Kentucky assistant) is a superb recruiter.

I know -- saga of Jason Rich is still fresh in my mind.

whatever happened to Jason Rich? Maybe Singleton needs to find out how many NCAA tourney games he got to play in !!!!!!!

Last night that Kentucky could really use him next year. No doubt that Leonard Hamilton is a helluva of a recruiter. This one will go down to the end.

Marc Maggard said Singleton's grandfather has passed away. Hope everyone will keep him in their prayers, I'm sure he'll need and appreciate them.

Edit: Well, Matt Jones is saying it was his grandmother, so I don't know. But one of his grandparents did pass away.

Hate to hear this, and certainly my prayers and best wishes are with him. I suppose his visit this weekend is off? Again, our condolences.

Billy Graham... that just ruined it for me. I think I feel the same way as I did before i found out Gillispie's birthday was on the 7th. Don't even get me started.

If you believe Internet speculation, "the Mercedes" might be the reason he chooses FSU over UK.

:icon_lol: Actually, I thought about what I had written after I posted it, but I wasn't sure anyone would catch it. Didn't mean it that way, but you never know.....LOL
