I watched the LSU-Alabama game Saturday night and saw two questionable TD catches by Alabama. Both catches were made by wide receiver Keith Brown.

On the first catch, he clearly pushed off in the end zone just before catching the pass for the TD. I take it that this is not a reviewable play.

On his second TD catch, he was running in full stride into the end zone and stretched out to catch the pass. He touched the ball in the middle of the end zone, but by the time he had control of the ball he had went airborne and game down on one knee outside the back of the endzone.
I reviewed the play several times and have concluded that he did not have control of the ball until after his feet had left the ground. I have seen this call made several times on a sideline situation where the reception is ruled incomplete because he did not have control of the ball inbounds. Isn't this a reviewable play?

As you can see on another post, pass plays are reviewable. Remember, all plays on the reviewable list are always reviewed in the booth, it's only when the review official sees something that might be questionable, does he stop play for futher review.
