I guess I hadn't thought about it that much but we really don't have a forward or center that can shoot a mid range shot. I think the high/low feed is a good play between big guys. However the 15 foot shot has to be taken to keep the defense from collapsing.
Right now none of our guys looked confident in shooting that shot. Hopefully that will improve with time. (Patterson did show a little turn around)
Perry was a very good shooter and Woo was good from the mid range. I just forgot that we none of our guys have that skill set.
Off this topic.................does anyone think that Jodi is hurt worse that we have heard? I just watched his movement and he didn't look like himself. Even when we was standing or walking his posture didn't look right.

Patterson is supposed to have a nice 15 footer, I thought? I always thought Woo would have been good at Vandy, as they seem to know how to use the bigger guys with nice shooting touches. I also miss Woo's appreciation of his opportunities. He was a non-native Kentucky boy if there ever was one in this decade at least.
As far as Jodie, I think he pulled a groin muscle, so I'd say any of his movements are very uncomfortable at the least. I'd say he's having to take quite a bit of pain/discomfort to practice and play right now. He needs this two weeks off very badly.

Well Jodie sure isn't going to get two weeks off. I can't even imagine what practice will be like in the next week. Thats assuming Billy Clyde sticks to his guns and doesn't back off a little bit.

Don't act like we're giving up on these guys.
Patterson has been locked down in the blocks as a rebounder.
Crawford and Legion haven't found their spots yet.
Bradley is playing the spot he wasn't supposed to be playing.
Neither of the centers have developed as of yet to where the coach feels they need to be.
Long season, guys....we'll see what the last of February first of March brings.
chill guys, things haven't gotten so bad to start missing Bobby Perry. What next, a call for Sheray to come back?

I sure don't miss those guys. I am tired of seeing average or below average players get schollys at UK. It's time to get the best talent an plan on them leaving in a year or two. It's a whole lot better than waiting four years for an average performance.

You guys joke, but Thomas and Perry are much better than Stevenson/Coury and would compliment Patterson as they did Morris.
That is the sad part of all this and therein lies one of the main problems(next to PG).

Perry was only occasionally better than average, and Thomas wasn't even a good bench warmer.
Talking yourself into believing that those two were above average players that this team needs back is ridiculus.

Bob,
What I miss about Perry is the all out effort, his hustle made up
for the lack in talent.

You obviously missed the point. I didn't say they were above average.

That is true and scary for the rest of the season. Patterson is going to take a beating this season and may spend more time on the bench with foul trouble because of a lack of good complimentary center.
