:icon_neutral:....If Singleton comes, no big deal. But if not.....:icon_redface:

Unfortunate. I liked this kid's potential.

If we don't get Singleton (real possibility), this one will sting.

Singleton is crucial to us getting back to legit Final Four Contender within the next 3 years or so. If we don't get him, a killer Juco, an underrated guy who blows up, or develop Stevenson or Stewart, it'll be a while before we get back. Lot of IF's, but it's reality. Patterson can't do it all.

Ill take the "glass is half full" approach and think that maybe he got wind of or was told that Singleton was UK bound and took his second option...

He was wanting to either be offered the first of this week, or to be let known he wouldn't be because he wanted to go ahead and make his decision. He apparently wasn't offered.

Stutz wasn't gonna be the answer for our interior woes. Yes we need somebody, but I can't be upset about us not getting every recruit we follow. And I'd rather gamble and lose on Singleton-level talent than settle.

We weren't going to settle on Stutz. He owuld have been the 4th scholly given for '08. He would have been the development player for that class. He is a C whereas Singleton will likely play more of a forward role. Signed or not, we weren't settling for Stutz as he would have been an addition.

Gotta have a big for '08, and losing a back-up plan is not great news....unless we get Singleton. Then it's a non-issue.

We already have have several young bigs that we are trying to develop, so I don't mind that we didn't get him. We need an impact big, not another body. Coury, Stewart, Williams and Carter all are Fr or So.

Well, I'm pretty sure that by not offering a scholarship it was not that we "got beat out" but rather that his was a case of wishful thinking. He was interested, but we were not. By the logic of us getting beat out, anytime a player that has interest in coming to UK but goes elsewhere when UK doesn't reciprocate the interest, we are "beat out." I think it is better that we didn't get this one. Now let's get Singleton or some other qualified big man to sign with us.

We never offered a scholly.
