Doesnt look so bad now. They have a very good D and they could very well finish 8-4. SEC is tough from top to bottom.

maybe so..BUT I just told my husband..we should not have lost to either South Carolina or Miss State.....we should be riding with a 9-1 record right now.......just my opinion.....but still proud of these CATS with all they have accomplished this year

Not so much that they lost, but how they lost. State is a good team but we just didn't show up

I agree. In my opinion, we should have won both.

We basically traded one of those pre season "guarenteed wins" for a win over LSU. we basically cancelled out the LSU victory with that loss, however, no matter what MSU did today, that loss doesn't look any better after UGA, UT and apparantly Florida at this point all took care of Business. If we were going to get any help moving up the rankings in the SEC east we needed Auburn and South Carolina to win. A UT loss to Arkansas wouldn't have hurt either, but I wouldn't have minded going into that game against UT with a berth in the SEC Championship game on the line.

we didn't need aub to beat uga, or for ark to beat ut. we can beat those teams ourselves. the only help we needed was from usc, and we didn't get it. if you want to say there's a game we should have won, say florida, since that's probably the one that has hurt the most in terms of our standing.

we have lost 2 we shouldnt have and won one no one expected so logically we should be 8-2..i too thought about 9-1 yesterday and how neat that would have been, but the injuries and the team in unchartered waters so early in the year, just got to the team, and we took two hits that have really hurt us..9-3 should give us the Citrus Bowl,8-4 probably the Peach Bowl and 7-5,I think we are back in the Music City Bowl...We need to pick up our play if we aspire for greater things..

The real thing that is being missed here is that Miss State is a pretty good football team, especially on defense and this wasnt as bad of a loss that many were making it out to be, including myself.

Sometime it is not so much who you play or how you play but when you play. Take nothing away from Mississippi State. They played two very solid games against us and 'Bama and they certainly deserved those two wins. But, at the same time, they caught us physically beat up and emotionally drained after two tough games against LSU and UF, and they caught Alabama at home after the Tide emptied thier guns against LSU in a very tough loss the week before. Both of those circumstances had to have played at least some role in MSU's resurgence.

They also beat a pretty good Auburn team earlier in the year. True, if we had played better we could have won, but they are not a guarenteed win this year.
