Florida needs a lot of help to win the SEC East and get back to the league title game. The Gators' league schedule is done, making them big fans of Kentucky and Vanderbilt. They need the Wildcats to beat Georgia and they need Tennessee to lose to either the Wildcats or the Commodores to have a shot at playing LSU for the conference title Dec. 1.

"Now we're stuck praying and hoping and rooting for Kentucky," said Tebow, who added he would prefer Wildcats quarterback Andre' Woodson to have two great games against Georgia and Tennessee and get himself back in the Heisman race.

That's nice of him to say that of Woodson.

All joking aside, I've read several articles about Tebow and what he's done off the field and from all indications, he is a quality young man who is a person of faith. He's been on missionary trips with his parents, and I understand he spoke to inmates at a prison in Florida and shared his faith.
It's not his fault that the hype machine is running in overdrive on the UF campus.
Likewise, I appreciate his comments about Andre'. It might have been rhetoric, but he wasn't obligated to say anything. It speaks well of the kind of person he is.

FL is my least favorite to win the SEC East & I hope they do.

It's always hard for me to admire someone wearing a UF uniform, but Tebow makes it near impossible. He seems like a class act and is one incredible quarterback. I never dreamed that he would have the success that he has had this year. While I thought he was going to be a decent quarterback, I initially thought that he was overhyped from his few performances last year. But I stand corrected and wish the best for him (but not for UF).

Tim Tebow seems to be a FINE young man. I don't think his words have anything to do with any kindness toward Andre, though. :)

To his credit, Tebow is saying that he would prefer to win the SEC East over the Heisman, only an individual award. In other words, Tebow is QUITE FINE with Andre's having outstanding games and helping UK to beat both Georgia and UT, which would automatically allow his Gators to advance to the SEC championship game. At least that's how I read Tebow's comments. :)
