With the performance last night, I'm just curious as to what the nation thinks about Tebow and the Heisman.
I believe being a Sophomore will be his ultimate undoing but I think that's crazy and unfair.
Look at the numbers. They can't be denied. (IMHO)

I agree. He is the best quarterback who makes a difference for his team. There are better passers out there but when you put the whole package and the impact he has on the game, he is the best imo.

IMO he has the total package and is the best quarterback (Sorry Andre). I agree that him being a Soph might hurt his chances but he would have my vote.:icon_lol:

Can't say I'm qualified to compare everyone around the country but I wouldn't have a problem with him getting it.

The SEC has been short-changed when it comes to the Heisman. There has been only one winner in the last 21 years, and that was 11 years ago. I think it's because it's harder to stand out individually in the SEC. Tebow does, IMHO.
I also think it might be different if the selection was made after the bowl games. Look what UF did to last year's winner.

Last week I was ready to crown Mcfadden. After last nights performance, Tebow looks to be the man(or machine). Maybe....... with two strong performances against ranked opponents, Woodsen can re-enter the conversation.

In my opinion, it's real close between Dennis Dixon of Oregon and Tebow. Tebow really shut me up this year. I figured he wouldn't be nearly as good a passer as he has been. He has 23 TDs to 4 INT's, Dixon is 20/3. He and Dixon have rushed for nearly 600 yards each, both nearly average about 60+ yards per game but Tebow has scored 19 TD's to Dixon's 8 on the ground. So, 42-28 on touchdowns overall.
Florida has Florida Atlantic and Florida State left.
Oregon has at Arizona, at UCLA, and Oregon State at home.
Oregon could end up in New Orleans for the NC game, Florida only gets to New Orleans in the regular Sugar Bowl on January 1.
Neither guy cost their team in any of their losses although Tebow went 12-26 against LSU, his only game under 50 percent. Dixon threw two of his three picks at home against Cal but went 31-44 for 306 and a TD.
So if you view the award as the best player, period, it's Tebow. If you take into account team success, Dixon might win out.
Either way you could have gotten good odds in Vegas at the beginning of the year on either guy.

That's funny you mention that because my buddies and I always joke that Tebow was created in the labs at the University.
"Engineered to the exact specifications of Florida doctors..."
Similar to those Gatorade commercials. :icon_mrgreen:

Tebow's time will come. Probably not this season, but definitely next year. The SEC should go ahead and check him for the HGH hormone that is floating around Florida among the professional players. He is a man among boys at times.

I would rather see Dixon win it, partly because he has made Oregon a potential national champion, and mostly because I really don't like Tebow.

Any particular reason why? :shrug1:

I think he's too cocky, he's like a much better looking and slightly less obnoxious Joakim Noah.
Also I hate Florida.
No offense.
