You've done it again!
Seven wins again this year with two more chances to increase the total. We have beaten TWO teams ranked in the top ten (not sure if that's been done before) with a chance for a third this weekend. And this in a season when most thought we'd be lucky to win six to get to a bowl game. This season has proved even more impressive with the fact that the SEC is going to have 11 teams bowl eligible this year. Think about that. And we've done this with injuries to some of our best players, another testement to the fact the coach Brooks has built this team the right way, with depth like we've never seen at all positions. Our young defense has a lot of talent that I think will be pretty strong next year and a beast in two years. Our offense loses some key players this year but lots of talent is coming back, including a great running back corp.
We'll be going bowling again next year and the next year. No doubt about it. This team has learned to win the close games and truly believes they are going to win. We as fans are starting to expect it also. The plays we saw at the end of the Vandy game are starting to be par for the course. You know someone is going to make the big play. Sometimes it may be the offense and sometimes the defense. But it will come.
Lets enjoy these times cat fans. Coach Brooks has us in a place we haven't seen in nearly 60 years. We can actually compete with everyone on our schedule now. And we're talking about the best in the country. Thanks, coach Brooks. I've never seen the program more alive and I've never seen Commonwealth stadium more rocking then it is now.
WE BELIEVE!!!

Hey Stylin' I think I saw a short clip of you in that Marcus McClinton video. It's a really short scene but I think you're dancing behind Mr. Woodyard.

Amen! I have never been more happy to say I was wrong about somebody than I am to admit that I was wrong about Coach Brooks. These past two seasons have been great. Not only do we have 7 wins, but we have a real opportunity to add to that total.
With the exception of the MSU game this year, which I believe was due more to injuries and fatigue than anything else, this team has competed with every team we've played. That is a huge step up for this program. We may not beat UGA or UT, but they are not significantly better than us. We have a great chance in both games.
GO CATS!

And to think, a couple years ago - some of our "expert" fans were wanting to run both Rich Brooks and Mitch Barnhart out of town on the proverbial rail.
Who'da thunk it, huh?

Mark, we all know that the word fan has never been synonymous with patience. We all want our teams to win and win right now, but with big time college football there are absolutely no quick fixes. It takes time and patience, good coaching and coaches with a good eye for the overlooked talent. There are very few of our players who were big time 5 star recruits from the services. Our coaching staff was able to identify these players and then coach the hidden talent out of them. What a great job they have done. I look forward to them finding more of these "hidden gems" in the future.
GO BIG BLUE!!!
