Maybe I'm late on this, but it appears to me that UK now has no chance of winning the SEC East, but I don't know if I'm figuring this correctly.

Here are the current conference standings:
Georgia 5-2
Tennessee 4-2
Florida 5-3
Kentucky 3-3

Georgia has only UK remaining in conference...
Tennessee has Vandy and UK...
Florida has NO MORE conference games...
UK has Georgia and UT...

I'M BASING ALL OF THIS ON UK WINNING OUT...
and if they do they will be 5-3.
However....
GA will also be 5-3,
TN will also be 5-3 (assuming they'll beat Vandy),
and FL will also be 5-3

Now, FL has beaten UK and TN, but lost to GA,
GA beat FL but lost to TN and UK,
TN lost to UK and FL but beat GA,
and UK will have beaten GA and TN but lost to FL.

SO, can someone enlighten me as to how the tie-breaker process would work in such a jumbled and twisted scenario?

(and yes, I do have some free time on my hands right now! Is it that obvious? LOL!)

If Fla. and UK both finish 5-3, Fla. wins the East because of their victory over UK. It's not complicated.

If TN was to lose to Vandy, then FL, GA and UK would all be 5-3 with all three being 1-1 against each other. The next tie breaker I believe would be their record against SEC east teams, and I believe FL would still take it....

Yeah, you're right....as soon as I posted that I realized that -- out of those 4 teams -- only UK and FL would be 2-1 versus the other 3, and Florida would win that tie-breaker.

It seems strange to me that FL's last TWO games are non-conf? They are the only SEC team to have this "luxury". You would think the schedule makers would try to have them in a possibly meaningful game at the end of the season, like most other SEC teams.

Oh well....thanks for the correction.

It makes more sense when FSU is good.

Yes, all these non-conference rivals should be played the first game of the season & get out of the way of real football.
