Having captured back-to-back seven-win seasons for the first time since the 1976-77 campaigns, Kentucky looks to continue its winning ways and chart its first win in Athens since 1977 when the Wildcats and red-hot Georgia Bulldogs square off on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. and the game will be carried live on Lincoln Financial Sports.
The Wildcats, who are bowl-eligible in consecutive years for the first time since 1998-99, are 2-1 in Southeastern Conference road games this season. Kentucky has accumulated 300 or more yards of total offense in 16 consecutive games and also has compiled 200 or more yards passing in 16 straight contests.
Kentucky is the league’s leader in pass offense, averaging 268.7 yards per game through the air. UK’s potent passing attack is led by senior quarterback André Woodson who leads the SEC with 265.3 yards per game. He also ranks second in the conference with a 147.0 quarterback efficiency rating.
Georgia has won four consecutive games and is coming off a 45-20 win against Auburn last Saturday. UGA’s game vs. the Wildcats will mark the Bulldogs’ third consecutive home game.
