Television broadcast questions

1) If Lincoln Financial gets to air the Kentucky vs. Georgia game: is this the best game that Lincoln Financial/Jefferson-Pilot has ever gotten to air? Have they ever had two ranked teams before?

2) Duke (1-9) vs. Notre Dame (1-9) this year: is this going to be nationally televised, and if so, has a worse game ever been nationally televised? (And, will anyone get fired for inking their company into this multiyear deal with Notre Dame?

Pretty much, the matching of two 1-9s should appropriately be named the Toilet Bowl.

NBC execs must surely be toying with the thought of dumping their exclusive ND contract, although I enjoyed watching Navy beat them in overtime. That was fun.

ND took NBC to the cleaners a year or two back with a new 10 yr contract. Easy to see who the smater of those two is.

I've heard that NBC's Notre Dame telecast ratings are actually up this year because more people want to watch them lose.

People love watching train wrecks. People will want to see if a team as hapless as Duke can beat Notre Dame, it doesn't matter if ND is just as hapless.
