Such a shame. He could have had fame and a stairway to the NBA. Now hes really going to have to work his butt off for pub that he would have got here at every sec .

Its funny I kept refreshing, but couldn't see that until 12 minutes after he posted it.

Coulda been a good one at Kentucky. However Hamilton is one of the top recruiters in College Basketball and it's hard to battle him when getting in late on the game.

Why is it so hard for Kentucky to land a quality talent on a consistent basis? When we are fighting with the FSUs and Wichita States of the world, one has to scratch their head. The only reason I think Singleton didn't come here was because he wouldn't get to play the 2. I heard that's what he wants to play and that wasn't going to happen here.

With the way national TV works nowadays, all he'll need is a few good nationally-televised games and a decent NCAA run to be drafted in the first round of the NBA. Besides, he'll probably be the #1 or #2 option there, whereas he'll have to share the work with Patterson here.
When I heard that Singleton's friend committed to FSU, I was pretty sure that was it.
Oh well, we'll see how good he is. I wish the kid well.

Speaking of Leonard Hamilton, whatever happened to Leonard Washington?
Besides him not getting butt naked for anyone LOL whats his status?

At least we don't ave to think about it any more.
And in all likeliness, we will never hear about him again with him going to FSU and all.
OK so what did coach have to say? I must have missed it.

I don't think we ever fought Wichita St, we didn't offer Stutz (I could be wrong on that).
I'm still optimistic, I think BCG has a few we are still looking at for 08?

If you need a little uplift, take 7 minutes and watch and listen to the late, great, Cawood Ledford. Oh what a voice. UK at its best

Very very disapointing news. We need more big athletic talent to help Patterson. We better hope PP takes a cue from Tyler Hansbrough and sticks around for a few seasons.
Bummed.
You chant a guys name and give him your 500th post sheesh I got screwed. LOL J>K of course.

Crap, that bums me out too. I guess all of this will be forgotten if we pick up some stud in the spring.

well looking at this situation from outside the box.....do we really want a man to play ball for us who would make such a poor decision as this??
honestly, if i were an impartial recruit with the a free range of schools to choose from ..... hmmm, just don't think FREE SHOE UNIVERSITY would be my my first choice....
anyways, for a guy to choose an inferior basketball progam belonging to an inferior academic institution tells me he exhibits judgment similar to that of Bill Clinton hosting an intern-only luncheon.
terrible for the young guy, because from what i've seen/read he looked like an outstanding talent .... too bad ....

I'm guessing Hamilton told Singleton to look at our Roster. Even though Carter and Williams do not have his ability, they will both be around for a few more years. FSU has no such player on their roster. That is why Hamilton is so good, he studies his strenghts and uses them

As much as we need a big man, I am not sure he was the right one.
I will leave it at that.....

Couldn't agree more, Peachtree. Not just sour grapes, really was never sold on him. And, I still keep hearing Hopson is really doing some thinking on his future. Could be he opts for the 'Cats, and would rather have him than Singleton, anyway. If we don't get anyone else, Liggins and Miller should help out. The '08 class is so weak, I wouldn't know of anyone else besides Hopson to look at. But, I am no recruiting expert. JMO.

Wow! I would be surprised at such a post bashing FSU, but then it does say "Miami" in your username so....
Anyway, I'm happy because this is probably the first time the 'Noles have ever beaten UK at/for anything. I'm still smartin' from that NCAA game!

Yea, he's the best player on FSU's team. I knew he was considering UConn and IU, but didn't know UK was after him. Thanks for the correction, though! I guess that makes two in the last 5 years.

Actually, FSU has Julian Vaughn and Uche Echefu and they'll cloud Singleton's time much more than Williams and Carter would do it here. Singleton is a power forward with some small forward skills and long term potential. Williams and Carter are both centers with no real potential outside of those areas. Vaughn is a skilled perimeter player and Echefu isn't bad either. Both are talented, healthy, somewhat polished, unlike Williams and Carter.
He's really stepping into much less playing time there than he'd have here.

Yea UK was on him hard. Actually if I remember correctly it was between us and you guys at the end. There was another guy around that time that choose FSU over UK.
They are few and far between other than that though.
