Listen to the best. One player, and one coach does not make UK, listen to Cawood and hear what it is to be UK.

Man, that almost brings tears to my eyes. Cawood has no equal.....he will always be THE voice of the Kentucky Wildcats.

As a UK student/intern, I was fortunate enough to work for the man at his production company. He was very nice and a real class act. It was an experience I'll never forget. No offense to the "new guys" but, I sure miss listening to him calling the games.

This brought tears to my eyes, as some of my best memories of childhood were shooting hoops outside listening to Cawood on the radio blaring out of my dad's car.
I miss the glory days so much, and Cawood was a big part of it for me as a fan, as he was for many others.
God Bless Cawood Ledford, and may he rest in peace for eternity.
P.S. Does anyone know where I could find the picture of Pitino and Cawood sitting at the table together? My great uncle is the white haired guy in the background who passed away recently, and it would mean a WHOLE LOT to me if someone could even just find me the online picture?

I've seen that picture on a few occasions, and I believe it's been reprinted in several places...maybe check within books about UK basketball written during the Pitino era or any books about Cawood...you may find it there. If I should see it, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hey guys, thanks for the help. Unfortunately, the one linked here is one I have stumbled upon as well, but if you look in the video, towards the last 1:30 or so, it is when Pitino is telling him he will remember him and his 3 years with him when he leaves, and Cawood returns the favor and says the same.
I have googled and googled but I cannot find it. I just wish I knew where it came from. I'd go to the photographer for a print!
