Anybody hearing anything about Washington? I was pretty excited about getting him after watching those videos and learning that he compares his game to Charles Barkley. We could use a guy with that kind of attitude.

waiting until the spring, but we still seem to be at the top of his list. No telling if BCG wants him.

So does that mean he is waiting until January or is he waiting to make a decision in the spring to play in the fall? :confused:

I haven't seen it confirmed that he has been cleared yet. I hope he just ends up classifying as 2008, and comes here.

The word from Matt Jones is that he is finally decided on waiting until the spring to classify as an 08 (which might also mean he didn't qualify).

Don't take this to mean I do not want Washington. If BCG wants him thats good enough for me. That being said I am not sure it is worth the risk. If it is that hard for him to qualify than is it worth the risk of a scollership. IMO we are over run with 6'6" players. By the spring there way be a 6'9" or or better player that may better suit our needs.

The reason I don't want Washington isn't his height, I know trouble when I see it and he isn't worth the risk. There are many good players out there - let's use the scholly for another 2008 kid with bulk or Hopson.

He kind of made it a dead issue. Sounded like an unusual talent, but I was a bit nervous in that I had never really heard of him until we had a body crunch with PF.....
anyway, we'll have to see if SoCal or UK is interested next year....lotsa kids blossom their senior season every year that no one ever heard of before...that's one of the things that makes recruiting such a gamble.
