I am wondering if anyone heard any words on what he thought of yesterday's performance by the Cats.

I think that if UK looks as good throughout the season as they did in 3 of the 4 quarters yesterday, the staff will be able to turn in an outstanding recruiting class.
Here are a few quotes from the free Rivals recruiting board:
“He sat right in the section directly in front of me and everytime the Cats did anything, he pumped his fist big time and cheered on the Cats with all he had. Call it natural since he was at the Cat's game, but I saw a young man who is a big time genuine Cat fan.”
“I sat in a section overlooking the recruits as well. And I left that game feeling like he's ours unless we were to just fall of the face of the earth the rest of the season. He was cheering the entire game just like every other UK fan in there.”
“He sat right across the aisle from me the entire game with his family. The kid is enormous, especially his arms. He looks like he's 23 or 24!!! BTW, he looked like he was having a ball. During the big comeback, he was on his cell phone talking up the CATS and cheering them on. His family seemed to have a nice time as well.”
“I saw him at halftime and he looked to be having a great time over by the student section. He was also wearing his HS jersey, which is the right color of blue.”
Micah has said that he will be at all UK home games and also at a few road games this season. When we put up severalwins, keep showing heart and improvement and if the crowd shows season long support as yesterday I believe Micah will be a Cat on February 4th, 2006.

I hope he commits sooner rather than later. I just think that other kids will be influenced by the commitment of one of the best players in the country.

He won't be at this week's game, as the AJC is reporting that he will visit the Bulldogs this Saturday: http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/uga/0905/06secnotes.html

Thanks for sharing, UedK. I LOVE what I am reading here. If we can continue to play with such heart and enthusiasm, I really believe Micah and some other top recruits will choose UK, and then the sky is the limit for theUKfootballprogram.May that upward climbbegin! :)

jmelton21 over on Wildcat Insider stated that he has heard a rumor from a good source that he gave us a silent commitment (http://wildcatinsiders.proboards39.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=jmelton21)

Is Micah projected as an LB or DE at the college level?

According to USAToday*, he could do either, but his professed preference is to stay at LB.
