Here is the latest from the Chick-Fil-A (Peach) Bowl. Looks like we have a good chance:

SEC:
Auburn – Coming off of a sixth straight win against Alabama, the Tigers look like a great option for us right now. Depending on how things go in the SEC championship game, Auburn, with a #24 national ranking, could be headed to Dallas, Tampa or here to Atlanta for the first time since 2001. A Tennessee upset of LSU makes them less likely for us, but if the Bayou Bengals fall, Auburn is high on our list.
Kentucky – Despite the tough losses and where Kentucky could have been had that field goal against the Vols not been blocked, we still like the Wildcats as a candidate for our game. There is an intriguing match-up out there right now pitting Woodson and Kentucky’s explosive offense against our ACC selection.
Arkansas – The Razorbacks’ incredible win against LSU and the performance McFadden turned in has us keeping Arkansas on our list as having an outside chance. This team is just plain fun to watch and McFadden will most likely be a Heisman finalist.

Looks like we (deep breath here) need to be hopin' the Vols pull the upset. At least to improve our chances.

I would love to play an ACC team and get Boston College. I know its a long shot but Id love for Woodson to have the chance to show the nation he is better than Matt Ryan

I don't understand the comment about Auburn and the possibility that UTn might upset LSU. The sentence is: "A Tennessee upset of LSU makes them less likely for us, but if the Bayou Bengals fall, Auburn is high on our list."

Who are they referring to as "them"? Are they saying a Tn upset of LSU makes Auburn less likely? That doesn't seem consistent with the rest of the sentence which states that if LSU loses, Auburn is high on our list.

Not sure either because both UT and LSU will be gone by the time this bowl picks its teams. I think our best hope is for Arkansas (8-4) to fall from bowl "graces" because they have an interim coach or if you believe rumors being reported elsewhere, that McFadden may not play. I think the Atlanta bowl picks Auburn if they are not already picked, but would pick us over Ark.

That's the way I see it also. Auburn if available but if not (Cotton) they would take UK over Arkansas.

Don't see what LSU/Tn has to do with this?

CNNSI.com is predicting.....drum roll please....Clemson to the Chick-fil-A.

My question is...would the committee like to pair up a rematch from last year's MCB??? I think that might be a possibility, if you consider the NCAA's penchant for matching up former coaches with former teams, heated rivals, etc.

With that said, I realize the NCAA has no say in the bowl games, but you know the Chick-fil-A committee has to be considering this as a possibility.

Because UT beating LSU throws the current projections into chaos. They speculated on the Cats Pause show Monday night, LSU could drop all the way to the Cotton Bowl, if they lose to UT. Everyone else moves up a grade in bowl games.

I think it plays out like this if UT wins....

UT-Sugar
GA-Orange
LSU-Cotton
FL-Capitol One
Aub-Outback
UK-Chick-fil-A
Miss St-Music City
Ark-Liberty
Bama/SC-Independence

Thanks, I can see the logic to this outcome. The key would be the Capital One passing on LSU to pick UFl. Otherwise your back to who does the Cotton take Auburn or Arkansas.

Not sure how the Capital One would look at the situation.
