In putting two and two together, you would think that we are definitley going to the MCB. It just makes sense. The MCB officials are clearly biased toward UK. UK probably wants to play a higher quality foe, and Nashville is a wonderful destination for fans.

If Alabama is available to the MCB I think they will take the Tide. They travel better than anyone and it is a short drive to Nashville from B'ham &/or Tuscaloosa.

Hopefully that's the way it works out

I just booked 3 rooms at the Guesthouse Inn in Nashville -- not a great place, but still had rooms left, and can cancel w/o fee up to 72 hours out. We stayed here for the UK/Vandy game and it wasn't bad. We went down to LP Field for the Titans game the next day and it wasn't a bad hop.

Tide is 6-6. That hasn't excited the Tide faithful. The Tide will paly in Shreveport. The Music City Bowl people LOOOVE UK.

I think the MCB has to take a seven win team over a six. UK or MSU will be taken before Bama. I think it will be UK,just my opinion.

I thought NCAA rules prohibited a bowl from taking a 6-6 team ahead of a 7-5 team when both have conference tie-ins to the bowl game.

Not exactly. A conference tie-in bowl can take a 6-6 team before a 7-5 team 'IF' there are still enough conference tie-in bowls available to fit in all the 7-5 & above teams. Uklikely to happen however.

Wonder why we haven't had many Gamecock visitors lately? :shrug1:
