Tamme finalist for Draddy award...

The Draddy Award (for the nation's top football scholar-athlete) will be awarded tomorrow, and Jacob Tamme is a finalist.

A little bird told me that Mitch B. is in New York with Jacob. Wonder if they have some advance notice about a possible win?

Man I hope so, Tamme deserves it.

I certainly wish so. However, Mitch Barnhart and Jacob are close. In fact, Mitch Barnhart was a huge part of Jacob's getting that scholly offer (along with Coach Brooks himself) after Coach Morriss had rescinded it. It seems to me that Jscob would choose Barnhart to go along with him, if he were allowed to do so. Again, though, I would love for that to be the case, and it's possible.

Regardless, to be a finalist and get the trip to New York (after already having received the $18,000 scholarship for being a semi-finalist) is such an honor for Jacob. What a fine young man he is, besides an outstanding player!

Every Kentuckian should be extremely proud of Jacob Tamme.He epitomises the term,Student/Athlete.He is what college athletics should be,and I am so happy for him and his accomplishments.
