1) I hope Hopson comes to UK.

2) Barring HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE improvement, Hopson has no shot in leaving after two years--for the NBA that is.

Or Jai Lucas lol

I would rather have Hopson than a gator that couldnt cut it! Is the rumor true that Lucas is thinking about transfering as well? If so would he be any different than Legion?

Lucas is scoring well and playing significant minutes at Florida. Who said that he was considering leaving?

He's doing very well at UF and won't go anywhere.

I feel that if he has reservations about his situation, let him go.His mom is in the drivers seat there. All parents see their kids in the same way...the best at this, and the best at that, the prettiest, the most handsome,etc.,etc.But when a mom starts interfering with the team it is a hinderance to the team and time to move on.I cant help but believe the legion situation had a little to do with the iu game.when you have a bunch of 18 to 20 year old young men, trying to make the biggest transitions of their lives,it doesnt take a lot to throw them off.He is a distraction and it is time to move on,let him go.He obviously thinks he is much more talented ,or his mom does, than he gets credit for.He sounds like an iverson type player,I want to start but dont make me practice or earn the right to start.Let him go,his mom has him thinking he is lebron in a smaller package.Let them both go on their merry way.:widcat::widcat:

...be a good trade off? Hopson for Alex ? In my mind yes , but we need help now. Something I couldn't understand while Alex was playing was this--Why not start Alex , Ramel, PP, JC,and Coury? Instead we get Porter at the point w/ t.o. after t.o. I really thought Porter would improve w p.t., but he has only gotten worse. Agree? Jasper and Jodie are needed badly right now. But back to Scotty, from what I can understand, UoL are staying in close contact with him. Does anyone know how good our chances are at signing him ?

I do agree with the porter comment.Porter wouldnt start at eku or morehead st.I do believe porter plays because of his VERY little defense and hustle.I am not sure that bcg wasnt using porter as a motivational tactic with legion.Because legion has a nice jumper that we need,a pretty shot.but his defense, especially transitional, leaves alot to be desired. It just pisses me that he would pull this off, especially during this stretch of games.I cant help but think it had alot to do with the flat ball we played at IU,and it may have been what was wrong with unc, also. He is a selfish player, with a money grubbing mom, with an 'all about me'attitude.

I would much rather have a ky boy on the court, than someone that wants to quit because he is not the man anymore.Hopson would be with us at least 2 yrs, maybe more.and he knows the uk tradition firsthand,he would play with a lot more passion, and fire.I still see stubbys passionless team on the floor,it makes me sick.I cant wait till crawford and bradley are gone, they are their own worst enemies, and legion is the same type player and has the same mentality as those two.

You need to play deffence sometime. To many players think they are better than they really are.

i hear alex thought bcg was too hard on his players and "expected 110% even at practice" if thats the case.....SEE YA!!!!!!

I really have to wonder sometimes how much we as fans contribute to poor team / player attitudes by getting so wrapped up in recruits and their rankings.
We all want these guys that are 5 star, then we wonder when some of them bolt college to the pros or prove borderline (or more) uncoachable....and these are the same kids that have been told that "you're the best ( name the postition) in the country this year".

I think you can throw the whole AAU scene in the blame game, as well.

the boys still look lost out there on offense. dribbling aimlessly, etc. i was watching duke play the other night and they passed the ball 5 times on one set without dribbling the ball - end result: wide open 3 from the wing. why can't we do that? i think we will - eventually. if legion would have stayed he would have reaped the benefits of a typical bcg/uk offense.
