I think Billy will get a lot of slack this year. We need to keep in mind he only has 1 of his players now. We are not a deep team and have some huge injuries. Next year with Jasper, Meeks, Liggons/Miller, Patterson, and maybe Washington or another big starting (if not Stevenson is fine by me, I think hes going to be special for us) he has to give UK fans what they want. More than 1 weekend in the NCAA tourney. And I think he will next year. Who knows about this year. But he gets a ton of slack this year and so far has been helped out a lot by the football teams success

I don't think he's got much slack at all... most of the slack is STILL on Tubby and "Tubby's players". Billy's pretty much in the clear for his first year.

It takes time to build a team whether you are doing it in Minnesota or Kentucky. Face the facts Tubby had it pretty easy to begin with as Pitino left Tubby a loaded ball club. I will agree that when he really wanted to do it that Tubby could coach as well as anybody. Remember the team in turmoil year and then Tubby turning the tide and won something like sixteen straight games and the SEC championship before we lost to UAB in the second game of the NCAA tournament? That year proved that when Tubby wanted to do it that he could outcoach Donovan, Jim Herrick or any other SEC coach.
