View Full Version : Question about the timing of the Legion ordeal

This just came to mind....Why didn't Legion wait ONE or TWO more weeks until the semester was over to announce his intentions to transfer? He's at school for FREE because his basketball scholarship. Assuming he is finishing out the semester in the classroom, if he doesn't honor the scholarship, he becomes just a normal university student and should have to pay, at least a prorated portion, of his tuition.
Maybe Coach is above that, but it just irritates me that he does this with a week or two remaining in the semester. Hell, even Marvin Stone waited for the break before making such a poor decision.
I was excited for Legion the next few years, and I do wish him well because Lord knows he needs it with the over-bearing guidance he's getting, but this was poor timing.

As far as I know, Legion has already left campus so I don't think it's an issue. I'm sure he will just start at his new school (I am hearing Mich St) after the Christmas break.

I'm taking bets on how long he would last under Izzo before he's had too much and wants to transfer again.
I'm going with 2 semesters

Sadly, I think this is about right. The kid needs to learn to stand up to his mom.

So it came to pass in the year 2007 in the early month of December that a vision appeared in the sky and descended into the state of Michigan that it is time to pack his bags and be lead by his mother from the promise land of Kentucky into the new promise land.
The vision of going to the final four was only a dream that was brought forth from being over come by joy and happiness which will follow him as long as his mother stays away.

As a Michigan State Season ticket holder, if his momma thinks he wasn't getting enough playing time and ot treated like a prince at Kentucky, he WILL NOT survive at MSU. Good luck getting clock with what they have at guard.

Ya know - the cracks about his mother's beliefs are below the belt.
None of us truly know enough about the situation to make predictions, or cast allegations, about the participants.

It was Mich. State that Joe Crawford wants to leave Ky for too. Tom Izzo told him to go back to Kentucky. Legion may find the same advise waiting for him.
