I like Stewart Mandell's columns most of the time but I'm not too sure what to make of his assessment of our game.

20. Music City (Dec. 31): Kentucky (7-5) vs. Florida State (7-5). It's been a fine two-year run for Andre Woodson and the Wildcats. Presumably, next year, Kentucky will return to irrelevance. Of course, we also assumed FSU would have become relevant again by now.

There's nothing really wrong with that, I suppose, but I'm kind of wondering if he didn't have anymore to say than that why he even bothered. :shrug1:

Obviously it takes less ability to be a sports writer than almost any other profession.

You can clip it out an mail it back to him next year, but he will continue to write the same thoughts for at least three more seasons regardless of how Curtis Pulley dominates the SEC. We made the turnaround, but fell just short of the breakout.

Sounds like he's recycling what he and everyone else were saying last year: Kentucky's Music City Bowl team was a flash in the pan and Florida State being Florida State, they surely must end up somewhere better than the Emerald Bowl or Music City Bowl.

Let's check back in 12 months and see if he's 3 for 3 by then.

We all know what happens when one ASSumes. :) Also, I happen to expect the Cats to be quite "relevant" again next season.:) GO CATS! BEAT THE SEMINOLES!

You're so right Tana. I expect us to be stronger next year, although the schedule will still be tough. We are the competitive CATS!
